Barca were eliminated in the semis on each of those occasions.

Atleti still have three games to go where a lot can happen instead of just one final game.

Real vs Bayern final would be so entertaining. Wouldnt mind to see Atletico vs Bayern final though. Chelsea most boring of the teams.

United beat Barca in the semi on the back of a Scholes wonder strike. United went to face Chelsea in the final after winning 1-0 on aggregate.

Your second piece of information is correct I believe. This is the first time Barca haven't made the semis in a while now.

In the scenario that we get drawn against A Madrid, I wonder if Courtois will be allowed to play against us bearing in mind he started the Super Cup but I think that was a one off?

Although the Premier League allow parent clubs to forbid their players from playing against them, UEFA have no such ruling, which is why Courtois was able to take part in Atleti's 4-1 Super Cup victory against Chelsea in 2012.

He will be.

Chelsea should have requested it prior to the start of the season. They can't disallow him now.

Also, he did play vs. Chelsea in the super-cup a couple of years ago.

I'm certain Chelsea will be in the final no matter who they get.

My reason? I cant remember last time an EPL side was not involved in neither CL or EL final! They always seem to get one team in them
