Can't believe people haven't figured out he is multi-account of grooverider yet. One of the most useless posters in history of Internet.

Love reading his bitterness though, I smell burns nose and ass.

Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V9 - Page 9 Empty Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V9

Post by Onyx Sat 22 Mar 2014 - 22:43

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claimed his side 'came to kill' after they destroyed 10-man Arsenal 6-0 in Arsene Wenger's 1,000th game in charge.

The Stamford Bridge clash between the Premier League title rivals was effectively over after 17 minutes with leaders Chelsea three goals to the good and the Gunners a man down.

Samuel Eto'o and Andre Schurrle had already scored before Eden Hazard saw his shot pushed away from goal by the hand of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Referee Andre Marriner awarded a spot-kick, but inexplicably brandished the red card in the face of a bemused Kieran Gibbs, before Hazard made no mistake from the spot.

Oscar scored either side of the interval before Mohamed Salah added a humiliating sixth to leave Arsenal back on the fringes of the title race, with Mourinho admitting his side's lightning start made the difference, although he still refuses to accept they are title favourites.

He told reporters: "'We had 10 amazing minutes and with that you can win the game and show everybody that you won't give a chance to any opponent.

"I was so happy with the approach, we came to kill and in 10 minutes we destroyed them.

"After that first 10 minutes, the job was easy. We pressed them high and well and attacked the space very quickly.

"We got the result with some numbers which are special for our fans, which makes it even more beautiful.

"Last Saturday (in the defeat at Aston Villa) the momentum was broken, and now we are trying to build more momentum.

"Man City have everything in their hands, Liverpool have everything in their hands.

"Nobody plays Champions League from the top four, they have just the Premier League matches to play and we have at least two big Champions League matches to play in between."

The one downside for Chelsea was the sight of Eto'o limping out of the action after nine minutes to be replaced by Fernando Torres, with Mourinho confirming the experienced striker is now facing a spell on the sidelines.

He added: "With his experience he thinks it's not big. Before the big tear, he was able to say enough is enough, but a hamstring is a hamstring."

82 goals scored by Liverpool ... really an incredibile statistics . Yes , 82 .
all makes me thinking it will reach 100 goals
I don't remember similar realization numbers scored by that that is not best squad in league on paper
I mean ... a thing is  if Bayern does it in Bundesliga , no surprise , another matter if Real/Barca does it in Liga, no surprise , another if it is done by Liverpool last year 7th in Premier
really incredible to think it and it gives really the idea about the enormous league played by that partnership SAS, it can permitt to play ometimes without defence.
it is not first time this year Liverpool wins a match despite it conceded 3 goals..
Is it the greatest record goal ever in PL? I suppose yes

Dnmac4 wrote:Wow, how terrible for Arsenal.  I really don't know how you classify this season for Arsenal.

I mean I don't know how you say they are part of the "Top 4" in the EPL.  I guess there isn't a top 4 it`'s a top 3?

I mean I think we have seen that Arsenal's "Title Challenge" was really only that they didn't play any of the real top teams in the EPL until around December.  When they have they have been destroyed and totally taken apart.

I mean today isn't a one off day, it's a trend now.  Plus they spent money on Ozil and still the same issues you have year after year after year with Wenger in charge.

Many people thought spending money would fix there issues but the SAME ISSUES keep happening for like 5 straight years with this cast of players/coach's.

1)They still don't measure up to top teams in Europe or domestically
2) There injuries are still a major problem
3)They don't replace the players they sell (RVP this time) and they try to do it on the cheap (Giroud for RVP)
4)Wenger puts too much faith in "his players" when they are not top class players although he thinks they are
5)They still don't have the Steel/Grit needed in midfield or on the team in general and a top keeper for how many years running now?

I mean if I were an Arsenal fan, when is enough, enough?  The SAME ISSUES happen year after year after year and Wenger is too stubborn to fix them.

Now Arsenal have the money to spend, do you really trust Wenger to use that money to get you over the plateau you have been sitting in for the last 5-6 years?  When is it time to say goodbye to Wenger?

I mean you have a great stadium, are located in London, a great fan base and now a lot of money to play with.  IMO I think it's time to stop fearing what will happen after Wenger.  This is a job most top coaches would jump at now that the stadium/finances are in order.

I think a lot of issues have been sugarcoated by Arsenal's lopsided domestic schedule this year to make fans think they were actually challenging for the EPL title.
To actually think Liverpool are a better team than us...
I just refuse to believe that.
We are much better than what we've showed against Chelsea, City and Liverpool away this season.

LOL, this is basically the attitude I'm talking about.  I wrote a whole long post about Liverpool somewhere in this thread you may want to check out.

Liverpool have turned there team over and have a fabulous young squad.  They have spent smart and bought players for specific positions/purposes and right now they are operating like a machine.

They don't spend money to strengthen the part of there squad that is already strong like Arsenal did with Ozil they addressed there needs and have not been totally oblivious about what players are actually top players and who are expendable.

Arsenal thinking they could just come along and take Suarez off of Pool is again this attitude like they really think they are still this all conquering force in England.  Pool was never giving him up, they don't just give there best players to there title challengers like Arsenal.

And you thinking Arsenal have better players or a better coach at this stage in the game is very very wrong.  Liverpool are a year ahead of schedule, they are going to be a nightmare next year.  And when they qualify for Champions league there front office has already shown how shrewd they are in the transfer market.  Not to mention they have one of the 5 best players in the world.

I don't know where you're getting this opinion from but I hope it's not that 2-1 FA cup game that the refs handed to Arsenal with some of the worst calls I have ever seen in any sport.

Azpilicueta continues to reminds me of Ashley Cole in his prime. It's pretty much gotten to the point where being World Class in every minute of every game is the norm for him. Should easily be voted in the TOTS but in this era where goals and assists are seemingly all that matter, an inferior defender like Baines might get in instead. Can't wait till we get Shaw in so we can finally play him in his more natural position, the only real blemish in playing him at LB is it really limits his offensive contribution. That includes the winger playing on the same flank.

Defensively, maybe. But Prime Ashley Cole was perhaps one of the greatest defenders in recent times. And Prime Ashley had a prime of 10 years where he was consistent in every single year till this current one. Even now he is probably our best LB for England.

Azpi is fantastic defensively however Ashley Cole was that and equally going going forward. Which is why he is the best LB in the PL era.

That 09/10 Inter team is ridiculously underrated. They destroyed 3 League Champions (Chelsea, Barca, Bayern) to become the only Italian club to win a treble.

*bleep* Rafa (calma fanboys) ruined what should have been a legendary Italian team. Now they'll probably only be remembered by Inter fans 15-20 years from now. I'll never forget how they completely took apart Milan in 45 minutes probably the best game they played collectively that entire season aside from the famous 3-1 win against Barcelona at the San Siro.

The craziest thing about that season was Sneijder getting the majority of the praise despite Milito clearly being the 'man' of the team. 4 clutch goals against Siena, Roma and Bayern ffs. I remember being the only Sneijder hater on here at the time solely because of this. Laughing

A question for FPL fans , how do you higly rate Morgan Schneiderlin ?
When I saw Southampton  yes Lallana, okay Shaw but I was impressed much also by him.
imo he is ready for a club better than Saints,  I would be curious to see him in a higher reality
for example I don't understand because he is never considered in French NT, I didn't think even he was French with that surname lol on the other hand he is Alsatian
one of the most underrated EPL players

Arsenal could build a great, tough squad around Ozil and yet Wenger won't because Wenger likes his small, technical players too much. I mean a central midfield of Ox-Arteta-Cazorla Vs Chelsea is idiotic. It was a disaster waiting to happen, and it didn't take long. They need a Vieira in midfield, a hard working LW and a proper CF and they'd be a much tougher team.

The most shocking thing is that Wenger has now played 503 games without a trophy, over half of his time in charge.

Robes Proud Anyway, I think he's being linked with Arsenal and deservedly so.

Stay classy, mate.
Only stooping to Maureen's level, mate. Had to climb down three levels of sewer to get there, but I managed.

But what did he do to make you so angry at him hmm
