Garay is right footed and a quality CB. I'd love if we manage to get him. I think Sakho-Garay would work perfectly.

I could've sworn he was left footed from what I remember of him at Madrid. Saw his every game at Madrid and some European games at Benfica and he played LCB and favored his left.

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
If I make a list of the defenders we have and the ones are on loan, you know that is going to be a quite long list, currently in the squad and the ones on loan:
Agger, Sakho, Skrtel, Toure, Johnson, Enrique, Illori, Kelly, Flano, Cissokho, Coates, Wisdom, Robinson
well did I Forget someone, if I did, it is even worse.
Coates is only on loan right :hmm:we should sell him for some decent Price.
I would like to sort out the defense next season by making some Quality additions and selling few Players who are not good enough for us.
Kelly must go on loan and we can see if he will ever good enough for us after his injury.
Robinson, have no idea how he is doing, we already have Flano so may be he can go. Flano can be kept next season as depth.
Wisdom, I think I was impressed with him when I saw him, he should be definitely given a Chance here.

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
Oh ffs, Helmer, leave those mid-sentence random capital letters out when typing in English xD
But I agree, we've got too much quantity in defence. You could argue that a couple of them are still "for the future", but a couple could also be sold.
However, I wouldn't buy a CB even if we sell Agger or Skrtel. Surely one of Wisdom, Kelly, Coates or Ilori are good enough to feature sporadically. Or if they're not, we should just get rid of the lot.

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
Flanno has been well from what I hear but he's also been sent off 3 times.
Wisdom has been playing as a RB for whoever he's on loan with. (I'm certain it's with Oldham.)
We need a quality acquisition for the middle of the pitch. We can't f*ck around. Again, Europe either makes great teams, or breaks them, we can't experiment by playing youth.
Skrtel, for how good he has been this season, has been really really weird as of late. You know our defence is bad when Skrtel is having a bad game (it actually shows, our whole defence goes to sh*t when Martin's having a bad game), so I'm not sure if he just can't handle the pressure and is trying to do everything on his own which is causing him to make silly mistakes, or he's just not as good as he was hyped up to be.
But a RCB is a must.

This is my keyboard in office, I write my all other shite in German so as you know the auto correction is ON for German language and it keeps on correcting the nouns as capitals...
I think we should get rid of 1/2 CBs or keep enough depth but only the quality ones and buy one top class CB who is experienced in Europe,

Lord Voldemorte can teach you a magic trick. What you've got to do is get your wand out and spin it around while shouting out loud "my helicopter spin makes me the keyboard king!" and push alt + shift and your language shall be switched.

You have some crooked keyboards over there in Germany? Nevermind, then, do it your way x)

It had started to feel a bit stupid or awkward to have that photo of myself year after year as my avatar, a new year was a good time for a new avatar
And Captain Picard is almost as awesome as I.

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
Jamie Carragher:
I don't think Brendan Rodgers is the biggest fan of Daniel Agger and that's why he leaves him out.
I don't think that Brendan Rodgers is disorganized defensively, it's just that his defenders don't think like defenders and that has cost them again."
Sakko and Skrtel have played 17 games together all season and have kept one clean sheet.[/quotes] (This state is meaningless to me, but what let's just quote it for people to criticize the pair/praise Agger for his clean sheets.)They concede too many goals," continued Carragher. "The back four and defensive side of this team have shown they can't cope. We saw it at Norwich. They drop back into the back, Sakho, Skrtel, they don't push out enough. They are good players, but they are not leaders.
"I look at those centre-backs and they are weak mentally for me. In tough away games, you have to push out, drive out and your goalkeeper as well. I don't think there is enough communication between the centre-backs and the goalkeeper especially.
Interesting to think that he doesn't think Sakho is a leader, I for one disagree with him. Once he's had a full season under his belt and settles in properly, I'm sure he'll show that.
I'm also certain Rodgers has stated Skrtel is a leader of this team recently too? Who knows.
We need to deal with these defensive problems, as well as get depth in areas for the front 6.

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
I think Skrtel is a leader, you see him shouting at players all the time. Agger, too, as well as Toure. I don't think it's CB leadership that we're lacking. Sakho is young and it's his first season with us, probably doesn't speak that much English yet? He's the one who has looked physically decisive in his actions, but mentally it's been so-so. Needs more experience, courage, composure and I'm sure he will get them all and become a better player. We just need to persevere with him, give him time.
But we could with more communication in defence, that does seem correct. That's something that Mignolet should take most responsibility for, more than he probably has so far.

Most interesting part was:
"I don't think Brendan Rodgers is the biggest fan of Daniel Agger and that's why he leaves him out."
Will Daniel be looked to be sold in the summer?

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
I don't think it would be a surprise if he was. In fact, if a club that Agger himself would accept moving to comes asking, I think we're willing to sell him and take our chances in finding a better replacement (which, liiiiiiike I've said elsewhere, isn't guaranteed to work out like that).

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
Should have cashed in on Agger when he was decent, I think his value must be a lot less than what City were willing to bid for him a couple years back.

Re: Skrtel and/or Agger
What an absurd concept. Selling high means selling your best players, unless you manage to pinpoint the start of their decline. I'd rather not be a selling club and see our stars go for half their value then sell off our important players in their primes.
