Great, now its left for Barca and CO as known as bunch of high pitched animals to drop few points so Atletico Madrid can potentially win the league.

smh your annoying get over it, dude your wrong and deluded, you just wanna blame benz for the sake of it, cr didn't turn in clasico and he didn't tonight, typical ignorant attitude when we win cr is the most complete attacking player ever!!!, when we lose the rest of the team is shit blah blah blah, again you don't have a point so just leave it..
Nah mate. Leave it. Whether or not it hurts your soul you have to accept that as long as Benz is being a bitch our team is irrelevant. Ronaldo played shit, but you and I both know he would have buried a lot more goals than Benz had the chances fallen for him. End of discussion.
your the only one even trying to make a case out of nothing, stfu already smh, how stupid can some of you get for guys who watch footy every week? go play fifa son
Lol. Same responses over and over. Have you been watching the football? because your boyfriend is a bitch when we need him to step up. Absolute bitch lol.
At least on FIFA Benz would find it easier to score.

GoonerJay29 wrote:Madrid should have had the game won inside the opening twenty minutes. They had plenty of chances and Sevilla weren't looking anywhere close to solid at the back nor were they getting any joy going forward. It wasn't until the second half that they started defending deep with two banks of four and did a phenomenal job of it. Madrid couldn't penetrate through the middle, and were funnelled out into wide positions every time where they had players always coming inside.
In an effort to break Sevilla down, Madrid committed too many men forward, and they were caught on the break twice. Pepe, for the second goal, did a poor job in closing down Rakitic, and subsequently paid for it.
Madrid's pressing and ball retention was excellent, but this Sevilla side's strength is it's pace on the counter. When Sevilla are the ones trying to break the opposition down, they have a tendency to push too many forward and get caught on the counter, so maybe Madrid missed a trick there.
Carlos Bacca on 14 La Liga goals now (19 in all comps), currently proving me wrong as I didn't think he had this in him. Rakitic excellent, though I disliked the amount of times he exaggerated contact. Sixth win on the bounce, now six points behind Atheltic with Athletic vs Sevilla at the San Mames still to come. Think it'll take Atheltic choking for Sevilla to get fourth, but there's a possibility.
With the start Sevilla had, it's amazing how far they have come. I remember you saying that Emery was changing his team constantly to find the right balance and tactic. It also meant both Gameiro and Bacca suffering a bit specially since both are having their first season at La Liga. But i think Emery has finally found what he was looking for. Race for 4th should be great.

Can someone post the remaining fixtures of all three clubs by the way?

Nowhere near as hilarious as Madrid getting hyped every year when they go through a decent run of form and when crunch time arrives they fall like a pack of cards.
Happens every season, but still no one ever learns.... If they don't win anything this season you would think it would be lesson learnt but alas i doubt it.
The yearly Madrid hype rollercoster:
June-August: Purchase every star available for 12000 bazillion euros and the fans and press are predicting they will win the treble.
August-December: Team runs into trouble trying to get their dysfunctional team to actually work, hype decreases substantially but fans are still hopeful.
January-March: The coach finally finds a system that works and Madrid beat laligascrubs by 7 goals margins. THE TREBLE TEAM IS HERE.
April: As Madrid enters the decisive face of the campaign the team inevitably flops. The fans and press wonder how this team assembled by how marketable each player is could have possibly failed.
May: The coach & players are scapegoated and the hype reaches negative levels. The fans and press have set the way for yet another summer cleaning.
Repeat endlessly.

2 - Real Madrid have lost two league games in a row for the first time since 2008/2009 - when they suffered five successive defeats.

Jesus Christ, just realised Sevilla are only 6 points behind Bilbao. Can they do it? They've got all the momentum at the moment it seems. Marin carrying Sevilla back into the CL.

Jesus Christ Atleti are *bleep*. No way they get through that while balancing the CL.
EDIT: Look at Madrid's piss easy fixture list. Ronaldo will score at least 20 *bleep* pathetic.

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion Mk. 2
To be fair Mole,Madrid warranted the hype at the time. They were recently on a 27 game unbeaten run without conceding too many goals and STILL a lot can happen between now and the end of the season. These two losses dont change anything to their European ambition and they do have a relatively easier run in in the league.
They do deserve to be criticized now ofcourse but it seems like all a huge overreaction to me.
Dont be a Gil and Jibers and set this up for yourself. This could well backfire

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion Mk. 2
Sevilla still have Europa League commitments and will inevitably rest players against Celta and Espanyol before they play Porto, so they may end up dropping some cheap points. On the other hand, their fixture list looks pretty kind, bar Betis and Atheltic away and Villareal at home, so who knows. Personally, I don't foresee Atheltic messing up from here.
Suddenly a lot more riding on Athletic vs Atleti this weekend.

Not really.....
Same happens every season, they have a good run they get hyped and when it matters they fold.
I said they needed to prove they could keep winning games when it mattered and i wanted to see them against the better teams before i believe and so far they have failed miserably and considering they fail miserably every season i see no reason why it will change.
The reason why i didn't jump on the hype was because i have seen this all before.... i don't care what you do in January and February and most of March..... come talk to me when your winning games at end of March, April and May

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion Mk. 2
Barcelona icon Johan Cruyff believes Neymar is the biggest problem at Camp Nou as a result of his extortionate salary.
The 22-year-old joined Barca from Santos ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and immediately became one of the Blaugrana's highest-paid players.
Cruyff feels the attacker has yet to prove himself at the highest level, though, and thinks his rivals up front could be unhappy with Neymar's high wages.
"Barcelona's problem is Neymar," Cruyff was quoted as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.
"He is a great player, let there be no doubt about that, but you cannot sign a 21-year-old and pay him more than players who have won it all. Nobody is god at the age of 21.
"Plus Barcelona already have the greatest player in the world [Lionel Messi] and a 21-year-old kid cannot be the key figure. This is impossible in football. At the age of 26, yes, but not at 21."
