Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
El Shaarawy wrote:Yes, but i didn't mention what his price tag can fetch for. Just merely food for thought by comparing last year's Hamsik to this year. Though as i mentioned, the injuries did bar him a lot this season. Only 12 apps and 6 goals. Though he was in monstrous form in the beginning of the season, that i agree with.
I realised, the second half of that was more a general answer to everyone discussing Hamsik, I should have paragraphed, sorry.
I also think that it should be considered that Hamsik's only game time came at the beginning of the season when Higuain, Callejon and Mertens were still adjusting to the squad and Benitez was instilling his vision on the squad. Hamsik assumed a lot of the goal scoring responsibility during this period, however I believe we'd be seeing a more complete forward unit if he'd had the opportunity to play with them throughout these six months. That being said, I do expect Hamsik to continue to score more under Benitez than in previous seasons.

ffs stop apologizing, we have Honda to dethrone all of Serie A's top AM's. It's all good.

After his first training sessions, Seedorf will probably name himself in the team and bench every other AM.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Hamsik is always so , he plays well periodically, there are moments where he seems a top player , other moments where he is normal .probably he would have been intermittent this year also
surely he is a player very very good (but not a top player) but if you have to pay much an attacking midfielder you can buy better than one very good in offensive insertions but if you take away this he is a player enough normal and he tends to disappear from matches, expecially big matches

I essentially agree with your evaluation of Hamsik, however given the state of the market and the tendency of clubs to pursue names before skill sets, I see him as commanding one of the highest transfer fees in the league. This being said, as their captain and icon he's likely to stay as long as they qualify for the Champions League.

PSG would surely only see Sanchez as an alternative should they be unable to get their first choice. I imagine Hazard or Mata would remain their primary targets in attack.

Hazard, Mata, Griezmann, etc... Alexis Sanchez doesnt fit into their politic of recruitment, certainly not for that price anyway

It's Monaco that want Di Maria, not PSG, Griezmann is already looking like a smarter more efficient winger. It wouldnt surprised me if they end up with him when all is set and done.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Thorgan Hazard to Anderlecht. Surprised none of the English clubs were sniffing around. He's already the best young player in Belgium at only 20 and had a great Europa League campaign (created more chances than any other player) he would walk into pretty much every club from Newcastle downwards.
Doesn't have the pace, skills and dribbling ability his elder brother possesses but I think he's potentially a better playmaker/#10.

Di Marzio wrote:Not just Jorginho. Napoli is looking to give Benitez another reinforcement for his mdfield. Manuele Baiocchini is reporting that Napoli has essentially reached an agreement with Rubin Kazan for Yann M’Vila: a loan swap with option to buy involving Edu Vargas, with Napoli also sending a 2-3 million euro. The Russian club would accept these conditions. Napoli is working on getting Vargas to accept the destination. The deal is progressing, Napoli continues to make moves.
Seems like they're signing M'Vila instead of Capoue

Damned Aulas
really a great signing half Jorginho to 5.5 , congratulations to Napoli.
But I expected more resistance of Verona

Prediction: Milan to sign nobody while each of our supposed transfer targets are taken by smarter clubs.
Naingollan --> Roma
Jorginho --> Napoli
Who's will be next to be clutched away from Milan due to this tragic, yet comical, display of extreme incompetence by Galliani?

According Gazzetta dello Sport you are dealing with Parma for Parolo. Meanwhile Vergara goes to Parma on loan
anyway yes we have same frustration... the clubs who are up the table reinforce ( and increase the gap ) when it should be the opposite

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
Is Hamsik really available????
If he is, that should be Liverpool's marquee signing in the summer. We were ready to spend 30m on Willian ffs... Hamsik is twice the player of the Brazilian.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
I don't understand the Hamsik underrating here... he was exceptional the past 2 years for Napoli. I mean the guy had 11 goals and 17 assists last year and 11 goals and 11 assists the previous one... he can play at an extremely high level.
The issue this year is that, after a great start, he was asked to play more of a CM role to allow the attacking trio more room to do their thing... That's not his style. He's a AM/10. He started to struggle, which led him to be rotated.
I don't quite understand why Napoli are handling Hamsik like this just like i didn't understand Madrid's handling of Ozil. He's too valuable to just brush aside.
In any case, any team that has a spot for a AM/10 would do very well to buy Hamsik. He is worth every penny of 30 mil and would be a bargain at 20 mil.
