We still don't know if Sheamus is scheduled to make his return at Sunday's WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view but we now know he is returning soon because he's penciled into one of the top 5 matches at WrestleMania XXX.

Current plans as of today, January 24th, have Sheamus facing Daniel Bryan in a singles match at WrestleMania.

This will be the third WrestleMania match between the two. They faced in a Lumberjack dark match resulting on a no contest at WrestleMania 27 and Sheamus defeated Bryan in 18 seconds at WrestleMania 28.

Plans can always change six weeks out but word as of today that the Sheamus vs. Bryan match is pretty much set in stone.

There were no new Royal Rumble entrants announced on tonight's SmackDown. Going into Sunday's pay-per-view there are 20 confirmed names and 10 open spots. The list of confirmed names looks like this:

As of this past Friday, The Undertaker's WrestleMania XXX match was said to be set in stone, likely against Brock Lesnar.

There has been talk that The Ultimate Warrior may be working one more match as part of his new deal with WWE. Word being talked about backstage is Warrior vs Ryback, likely at WrestleMania XXX.

As noted, it's believed the deal with Bill Goldberg is pretty much dead because of money issues.

Multiple sources continue to report that Sting is coming to WWE this year. It seems there is more talk this year than any year in the past.

It's said that WWE will go out of their way to counter-program anything else on TV that they are even remotely concerned about once the Network launches. As noted before, the first live NXT special will go head-to-head with TNA's Impact Wrestling.

There has been talk of bringing in 2 Cold Scorpio as a surprise Royal Rumble entrant this Sunday. The idea would be that there's an ECW tie-in since original ECW TV and pay-per-views will be on the Network.

Another name rumored within WWE is Jimmy Wang Yang, who teased it on Twitter, is a good friend of Batista's and attended two WWE events last week.

This match was put to the side once talks got serious with Hulk Hogan. WWE officials wanted to do something with Hogan and Cena but as noted last week, Hogan was recently evaluated by WWE doctors and the decision was made to not book Hogan in any kind of physical role.

Now the Cena vs. Wyatt match is back in the mix.

PWInsider reports that the top 5 matches for WrestleMania XXX look like this:

* Batista vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Title
* Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
* Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena

No one wants Batista/Orton main eventing, Lesnar/Undertaker is decent, Bray Wyatt has no credibility and no chance of beating Cena. Punk vs Triple H is ok and obviously Bryan vs Sheamus is pointless.

Imagine if it's Orton vs Batista vs Bryan, Batista turns heel during the build up and Triple H orders evolution to make sure Bryan doesn't win. However Bryan ends up winning and gets his comeuppance. Also I remember Batista complaining or something when Bryan won the WHC.
