I still believe in Ganso Dent.
We're doing a great job of reviving Casemiro, I think we can do something similar for Ganso.

Re: Ganso is alive and well
He was the big thing for some time right?
Neymar's partner in Crime, and Brazil's 10 immediately after the world cup when they shredded the US in New Jersey up past the 2011 Copa America in Argentina.
Injury destroyed what little pace he had to start with. Like, he just strolled around the pitch at the copa America. It wasnt even because he was lazy like Mata either, he just COULDNT run.
Oscar took his spot
Neymar took his number
If he can be the redemption story in 2018 then I will be amazed.

Re: Ganso is alive and well
That 2010 team of Andre, Neymar, Ganso and Robinho is still one of the most entertaining sides I've ever seen.
Pretty sad what happened to Ganso though. Injuries, the dispute over his contract with Santos, Oscar's emergence and that disastrous Copa America has stalled his career greatly.
He's never been the most athletic guy out there but his vision, passing, touch and general understanding of the game will always remain there. I hope he gets a move to Europe soon. Serie A would be a great League for him. He's always been billed as the Brazil's answer to Riquelme but I think playing in a regista role ala Pirlo will make the most of his talents and what better League for that position than Calcio?
Hope an Italian club take a punt on him, it's a low risk, high upside move with his rep at it's lowest these days.

If he's smart, then he'll stay in Brasil his entire career and try to became a brasileirao legend. If you give him plenty of time and space then he's a magician. But Europe isn't like that and he'll be a huge flop if he goes there.

Re: Ganso is alive and well
Yea exactly elitedam.
He is an old fashioned No 10. Would have been excellent in the 80s. His game doesn't suit the current European game. If he was a no 4 then he would have been great and perhaps would have moved to Europe long time ago.
Oscar got on the scene in a month, was transferred to Chelsea in 3 months. Because Oscar can play according to the modern game.
