Juve strike duos compared

Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente are reminiscent of Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet, the French striker has claimed.

The summer signings have taken to life in Italy after signing from Manchester City and Athletic Bilbao respectively.

And the ex-Juventus man has insisted that the new strike partnership is evocative of his and Del Piero’s.

“I think Tevez is the ideal strike partner for Llorente,” he told Goal.com.

“Technically, Tevez and Llorente remind me of myself and Del Piero.

“Llorente is a true centre-forward, and will only get better for Juventus. He is becoming increasingly important.”
