Is Messi finished?
He has become more of a hindrance than a strength. When he leaves the pitch everyone raises their level. Should he be sold now? Should barca cash in on him? IMO Neymar should take his place.

Cruyff was right, they should sell him.

I agree. They should sell him for about 15-20 Million. I think Messi would do well for somebody like Villarreal. Barca have evolved past him tbh.

Re: Is Messi finished?
In all seriousness, if these constant injuries persist he may very well be finished.
Especially if Nerman takes over as the focal point...
I fear for Messi..

Re: Is Messi finished?
He is finished but he still looks like top 3 player in world. So is this finishing?
Neymar can not take Messi's place. Mainly because of his finishing. Messi is best finisher ever nobody will ever score as much as him. This explains Neymar can not be dictator and make everybody his slave on the pitch. This ability only belongs to Messi
Ronaldo comes close but he lacks messi's playmaking ability. So Messi is and will be only dictator in football pitch. Others will be his servants

Re: Is Messi finished?
Impressive how easy Barca find it to score without Messi. Could have scored 7 goals in a stadium in which Pep never won in 3 attempts.

Re: Is Messi finished?
No, off course not. He was on the pitch 11 minutes and he obviously has not been fully fit between this two injuries.
The cancer is Tata who is destroying the health of Messi.

Re: Is Messi finished?
lolo, no. Messi was the top scorer in la lgia before he got injured. He just needs to take care of himself better.
Atleast Tata dare to subbed Messi..
Also, I don't know how true this is, but I heard that Messi playing injured against PSG is still coming back to bite us.
If anyone is to be blamed for Messi's health, it's Tito and Messi himself. Tito for allowing Messi to play as many of those damn charity games in his spare time, or Messi for chosing to play those charity game when he knew that he was coming back from an injury and needed his rest.free_cat wrote:No, off course not. Re: Is Messi finished?
Off course, Tata doesn't have absolutely no responsibility although he is his current boss.
It's much more likely that Messi is getting injured now because he played a charity game 5 months ago than because anything related to his training regime, pressing too much or being played when he is not fit enough.

Re: Is Messi finished?
So you don't think that Messi not resting when he was injured, has not affected Messi's health? Or him playing every got damn minute in the last past 5 years? IIRC, everyone said that it would come back and haunt us in the end.free_cat wrote:Off course, Tata doesn't have absolutely no responsibility although he is his current boss.

And pressing too much under Tata? Really? Messi? O_o
I think that Tata's biggest fault is that he let Messi stop with that diet that Pep made him..
