It's practically finished!
A Photo today as the turf laying experts brought all the way from Bavaria, machinery in tow, were leaving the stadium.

Probably to maximize the atmosphere when it's sold out, methinks...
Looks fantastic though. I'm hoping our new stadium looks like that compact.

Around 42,000 for us is perfect. At our height the Delle Alpi we averaged barely 50,000. It creates competition for seats which will ensure it will be consistently full.
I know from friends who are United season ticket holders that they dare not renew because if they don't the waiting list is so big they might not get them again.
The quality of the stadium will increase demand for sure and appatently there is the scope for another Tier in future.
By setting the seats out as per other stadiums (eg: Allianz Arena or the Emirates) it would infact rise to over 50,000 apparently. Even more were we to follow a German style removal of seats in the Curva. We have provisioned more space for fans to sit than usual.

I apologize, allow me to open a Madrid v Barca thread, consider it as retribution for my ridiculous actions.

I read somewhere that the design is so that they can expand it easily if they needed to.
Still, having a small full stadium is better than having a half full large stadium.

1. Will be announced upon inauguration. The name has been sold so we will see something similar to Allianz, Emirates etc.
2. Will be opened on the 8th, possibly with a friendly.
3. The stadium has been sustainably managed (as sustainably as possible when building with glass, steel and concrete ) the foundation is a modified update of the old Delle Alpi stadium. The Delle Alpi's steel was melted down and re-used. So this replaces the Delle Alpi, our temporary home; the (cursed) Olimpico Di Torino is now home only to Torino.
Becomes the only stadium in Italy owned by it's club.

So this new stadium has been built in the place of the old one, using the foundation and some other materials (steel)!!!

Admittedly Torino FC is the team of Torino, not Juventus. A small percentage of Torino residents actually support Juventus, though I am one of them who does.
The fans are scattered throughout Italia, so naturally you can imagine that few would make the trip down there every week, unless you were part of the Ultras.

So most fans support the underdog? That must be a first.JuvenelCuore wrote:Sushi Master wrote:That's just sexy. I hope they can fill it out, though.

I know Torino isn't as large as other Italian cities, but at 1 million you should be able to at least fill 2/3 of the stadium every match. Hopefully with the new stadium (and if Juve do well in the league) they'll be encouraged to go.

I just tried to say that 50 k people every home game are "blinded" by their love for the club, because so many bother to watch Newcastle play (Which is not regarded as an important club COMPARED to Juventus). Its not fun when I have to explain things

Yes, it is that way in Torino. The Serie B club has more supporters, though you would expect them to support the large club. I reckon though that if you took a poll of fans in 2005 and now the difference would be great due to the club faltering.
I agree though, support is a must. Honestly, I think the new stadium has a curiosity factor; if you did not go to games before you will go to at least one just to see what it is like, what all the hype is about, and hopefully that will hook people enough to go regularly.
