Llorente: No more slip-ups…
Fernando Llorente admits Juventus have now used up all of their lifelines in their Champions League group.
The Old Lady have made a stuttering start to their European Cup campaign by collecting just two points from their opening three games.
After drawing with FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray, they controversially lost 2-1 at Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.
“Unfortunately we know we can't afford any more slip-ups in the Champions League,” the striker noted.
“We put in a good performance and had several chances to score, but the referee changed the game when he showed Giorgio Chiellini that red card.
“Giorgio didn't deserve to be sent off for that – it wasn't such a bad foul on Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Llorente was handed a place in the starting XI and he responded with a goal.
“I have to do well every time that I am given a game,” said the summer signing from Athletic Bilbao. “But I’m feeling better and I can help Juventus.”
Juve, now third in the group, have home games against Real and Copenhagen, while they will end the group stage with a trip to Istanbul.
