Ferguson's Autobiography - Page 4 Empty Re: Ferguson's Autobiography

Except he tried to sign Gerrard on 2 or 3 separate occasions for a competitive price against Chelsea (£30-35m at the time) when he lost Keane and still had Scholes... that should tell you all it really needs to about how highly he rated Gerrard.

And his pursuit of a 30+ year old Lampard should really highlight how he thought of the Chelsea star as well.

People aren't really taking offense with his wording regarding Gerrard/Lampard, they're taking offense with his suggestion that he's always felt this way (which he clearly didn't) and the fact that he and others apparently have huge double standards when judging Scholes/Keane/others and Gerrard/Lampard.

But he said they weren't top players in any way shape or form.

Br's reaction to Fergie.

Spoiler:

Not sure how accurate the quotes are though.

Prob a more accurate version of quotes below, the goal.com ones were funny though.

how many hat tricks has gerrard scored in the utd / liverpool rivalry?
its all about accomplishments.

anyway.. mourinho asked about lampard.. i have to read it in context.
wenger? i have to read it in context.

rodgers? jumps right in, calls sir alex jealous of liverpool and tarnishes his legacy...
despite sir alex being complimentary about liverppol, even dedicating a full chapter entitled liverpool and their proud tradition.

nothing like scousers getting on that high horse..
Rodgers is from Northern Ireland. Not a scouser.
