Post match comment on the Japan vs Australia game from an Aussie piont of view...

Thought our first half was magnificent. We came out for full energy, closed down the line of pass/vision, gave little space/time for Kagawa and Honda to work their magic, defensively sound, held the ball well and created some very good opportunities in which we could have easily scored at least one.
Second half we were tired and having the likes of (Bresciano, Milligan, Holman, Niell, Oeg) who haven't been playing game time football for a long while means we needed to bring in fresh changes in which Holger didn't. Bresciano and Holman in particularly were struggling, Vidosic and Rogic needed to come into the game more earlier and continue shutting down lines of passes as well as be an extra bonus in attack. Our back four were weighed in to do a lot of last ditch work and had to rely a lot on Schwarzer to help us as our midfield were struggling to stay back. Noticed a lot of times Kruse had to keep tracking back due to the lack of organisation in the midfield.

The age median of your starting XI was like 31 lol.

Its annoying how our coach tends to pick the older more 'experienced' players instead of the younger players who are getting more minutes in better leagues. Matthew Spiranovic, Michael Zullo, Aziz Behich, Tommy Oar, Matthew Leckie, Mitch Langerak, Tom Rogic, Aaron Mooy, Shane Lowry, Trent Sainsbury, Rhys Williams should all be sin their instead of the likes of Alex Broque, Jade North, Robert Cornflakes, Michael Thwaite, Matt McKay (gtfo leftback) etc.

There are some mentioned in that list who should at least be in the squad who could learn and gel from the experienced and take over the reins after they leave so we don't have limited, 'inexperienced options' for the futures.

Other teams who have officially won their group... Ivory Coast, as they beat Tanzania 4-2 and with one game in hand hold a 5 point lead over Morocco.

Egypt also win their group with a game in hand as they saw off Mozambique away 1-0 and climb to a healthy 8 point lead over 2nd place team Guinea.

so..Senegal tried to call-up M'Baye Niang for their friendly against Zambia, but depite being suspended till December of this year to represent France, he still declined Senegal's offer. This is the second time he's declined to represent Senegal, but on the upside..Henri Saivet has accepted the call-up and plans are being set to talk with Modibo Diakite and Aly Cissokho, whom's older brother got called-up.
