Conte the Master...
Andrea Barzagli - not wanted by anyone in Italy, so Marotta picks him up for $300k. Under Conte the master Barzagli is suddenly playing the best football of his life, and he becomes a borderline world class CB.
Leonardo Bonucci - purchased by Marotta for $15.5m. Fails to impress under multiple coaches at Juve. Juventini are saying Marotta overpaid and that Ranocchia is the much better player. Under Conte the master Bonucci turns into a world class sweeper. Juventini have since forgotten about the Interista Ranocchia.
Andrea Pirlo - not wanted by Allegri at Milan, who favoured Ambrosini instead. So Marotta picks him up for a freebie. Under Conte the master Pirlo becomes rejuvenated and turns into the engine of Juve and becomes the Pirlo of 2006.
Arturo Vidal - purchased by Marotta for $10.5m. At the time Vidal is wanted by other clubs but is not regarded as a top player, hence the low transfer fee. Under Conte the master Vidal becomes a world class midfielder with his market value now well over $40m. Vidal is now widely regarded as one of the best CM's in the world.
Paul Pogba - not wanted by ManU so Marotta picks him up on a freebie. Under Conte the master Pogba is now regarded by some as a future ballon d'Or winner. Already clubs are opening the bank for Pogba, with his market value already exceeding $20m with limited playing time. Still only 20, Conte has a few more years to develop this wonderkid and turn him into one of the world's best.
Carlos Tevez - not wanted at ManShitty and a sub behind the likes of Aguero and Dzeko, Marotta picks him up for only $9m plus some bonuses. Under Conte the master Tevez, in only a few games, has already become the Tevez of old and looks even better now than when he played in England. Tevez could be in for his best year ever and looks to be world class, to the point where he gets a call from Argentina for World Cup 2014.
Fernando Llorente - ??? picked up on a freebie by Marotta. Conte has held him back so far because of inactivity over the past year and needs to be molded into a Juventino and needs to learn the tactics of Conte. Under Conte the master he gets to play his first game against Verona and doesn't disappoint with a beautiful typical header goal from the Lion King. Perhaps some big things to come for Lolo?? Normally Spanish players do struggle in Serie A, that is the history, but under Conte the master The Lion King will surely succeed and form a formidable partnership with Tevez. If this is the case then Juventus will definitely make some noise in the Champions League.
Kudos to Giuseppe Marotta for finding diamonds in the rough at cheap prices and bringing to Juventus some quality players. But make no mistake, the Juventus of today is Antonio Conte's team. It is his tactics, his work ethic and his leadership that have been passed on to the players. And where other coaches have failed in the past, Antonio Conte has managed to get the most out of the same players and has turned others into the world class players that they are today.
Thank you Giuseppe Marotta and thank you to the master, Antonio Conte. Surely we will see multiple trophies this year.
Forza Juve, let's enjoy this ride, it's gonna be a wild one this year!!!

Re: Conte the Master...
Team succes, absolutely but you're reaching so far for a lot of these players who were class before moving to Juventus.
And you didn't even mention the player he helped the most- Marchisio.
This thread should be re-shaped to praise Marotta.

Re: Conte the Master...
Yes, you are correct. Under Conte, Marchisio has excelled and has become an even better player than before. He has been in the Juventus system forever so that is why I excluded him.Luca wrote:Team succes, absolutely but you're reaching so far for a lot of these players who were class before moving to Juventus.

I did acknowledge Marotta as the one who purchased these players for cheap prices and brought them to Juve. He has done a great job. But in my opinion Conte is the one who has molded those same players into what they are today and so deserves more credit and his own thread.
If you believe Marotta deserves most of the credit then we will agree to disagree. I'm sure you can make valid arguments to support your position, but my opinion will never change, as I truly believe this is Antonio Conte's team with some great support from Giuseppe Marotta.
