Totti: Del Piero was mistreated

Francesco Totti has officially signed a new contract with Roma which will see him play on until June 2016. “I love this club and they love me.”

The Italian put pen to paper on the deal in front of journalists today at the start of a news conference which also involved President James Pallotta.

“I want to really thank the President for giving me the opportunity to keep wearing the shirt that I have always supported and always loved,” the almost 37-year-old commented.

“Everyone wanted it to happen, me and the club.

“I have another two years on my contract, two more years of responsibility, we have a lot of work to do and I hope we do well for this American Roma.”

Totti is one of the last remaining flag bearers in an Italian game which saw Juventus show Alessandro Del Piero the door last summer after 19 years with the outfit.

“Del Piero decided to go and play in Australia. He wasn’t treated by Juventus as Roma have acted with me and that is disappointing for him. I, on the other hand, am delighted.”

we all have got our point of views but, we all know totti and adp were like brothers, and he would never talk in the context of being the last italian legend in serie A. Of course he is delighted, he is a part of roma's history and he isnt being thrown away.
