Premier League - Chelsea vs Fulham

Both sides go into this match on the back of disappointing results on Matchday 4 and in need of points. Chelsea will be eager to bounce back from the previous weekend's 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, especially with main title rivals Manchesters United and City facing off in a head-to-head Manchester Derby the day after where one or both are of course certain to drop points, while under-fire Cottagers boss Jol - currently 2nd favourite with many of the bookies to be the first Premier League sacking of the season - will be looking to obtain a result of some kind to ease the mounting pressure on him.











This corresponding fixture of the last 2 seasons bodes well for the visitors. Both derbies ended all
square - the first a frustrating 1-1 stalemate in which a Juan Mata goal late in first-half stoppage time was canceled out by a Clint Dempsey strike from close range just over 10 minutes after the interval to pile more pressure on faltering manager André Villas-Boas; the second being a dour, lifeless nil-nil snoozefest in embattled boss Rafael Benitez's second game in charge. The Blues' Fulham Road neighbours will certainly be hoping that in this instance, history, at the very least, repeats itself.

Ramires was only out due to his suspension. Should be back in contention for Saturday, barring any training injury or the like
