Re: Diego Costa
Brazilians remain to be butthurt of us pirating Costa.
They most definitely wouldn't be if it was Luis Boa Morte, for instance.

Re: Diego Costa
Fifa could stop farces like this from happening if they just changed the rules to once you played for a country.... doesn't matter if its friendlies or not you are tied to that country.
Hell i'd even go as far as once you represent country at youth level you are tied to that country.
Switching because you haven't played for that country competitively is such bs.

Re: Diego Costa
Scolari is such a hypocrite. He had no problem with Pepe and Deco neutralizing but now
And also, would Diego Costa have even been called up for the WC? I mean, before the Spain rumours Brazil didn't really care about calling up Diego Costa, apart from one friendly, even though he had been brilliant since last year..

Re: Diego Costa
Compare Hulk to Diego Costa and it is like comparing a man to a boy.
Hulk is booed in Brazil. Has trash thrown at him, harassed when at the clubs, benched for inferior fan favorites like Bernard and Lucas Moura....but what does he do?
He keeps on chugging like a boss.
Diego Costa runs like a little girl soon as he can because he doesnt like the fact that two strikers better than him get called up. He is a simple punk. He can be mad that Pato, who is crap, was called up over him, but you gotta keep fighting. Fred, Jo, and Diego Costa would have been his reward...now he gets to go ride the bench for when Del Bosque puts out his boy Torres or even Negredo out there.

Re: Diego Costa
I was of the very misinformed opinion that once you played in a FIFA-approved international match for a country, you are not eligible to play for no other country. Isn't that why Argentina called up a very young Messi so Spain wouldn't call him up.
Anyway, I would regrettably admit Fred has been great for Brasil and Costa wouldn't have started anyway...

Re: Diego Costa
as if people here really care what nationality he is.
people are hating to hate.
Brazil didn't care about him before saying he might go to Spain, so all of a sudden he is horrible for not going to his team that picked him second?
half the people disliking him are the same people who wish national team competitions didn't exist.

Re: Diego Costa
to be fair, he would have had much more chance to flourish in brazil national team, as anything is an upgrade over Fred, and he would have been an automatic starter!
in spain, although he is still the most in form striker of the list, if soldado, torres (lol), villa, llorente, or negredo heat up their forms, his place will be clealry in danger, and far from guaranteed.

Re: Diego Costa
I am 100% certain that D.costa doesn't feel spanish and only chose to play for Spain because he didn't think that he would be called up for Brazil, as I am 100% certain that it was the same with Deco and Pepe..FalcaoPunch wrote:Brazilians who never played for Brazils NT then a few months later switched to Portugal. So, you don't think that Scolari is a being a hypocrite for criticizing Spain when he did the same with Deco and Pepe?Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Pepe and Deco never played for Brazil.... Costa did.

And the only reason as to why Deco never played for Brazil is because they never called him up. This is what he said regarding playing for Portugal
Samething just that he was never called up for the brazilian squad, otherwise he would have played for them.Deco wrote:I was born in Brazil and it would be a lie to say that I'm Portuguese now and not Brazilian. But I love Portugal and I love playing for the national team

Nationalizing players in general is a whole different discussion.harhar11 wrote:So, you don't think that Scolari is a being a hypocrite for criticizing Spain when he did the same with Deco and Pepe?Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Pepe and Deco never played for Brazil.... Costa did.
The comparison is just stupid.
The difference, the one you fail to see, is that both Deco and Pepe had never played for Brazil.
Costa played for Brazil's NT earlier this year and is now switching to Spain?
This isn't club football.

Re: Diego Costa
I don't like what Diego Costa did either. All I am saying is that Scolari is being a bit of a hypocrite. That was my one and only point.FalcaoPunch wrote:Nationalizing players in general is a whole different discussion.harhar11 wrote:So, you don't think that Scolari is a being a hypocrite for criticizing Spain when he did the same with Deco and Pepe?Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Pepe and Deco never played for Brazil....
