He gave the most PC answer he could without saying a) he was misquoted or b) he said something that was inaccurate. Pretty simple. He said both sides were correct in what they said. Barca said they had no legal obligation to pay Abidal more... and Abidal insinuated that he wasn't treated rightly at the end. That's where it ends. Nobody is backing off. Abidal just diffused it by saying it's no big deal and there isn't a problem.
