Where does football rank
With the transfer window closing and so many big deals made this summer I've been searching online for an overall chart which lists the highest transfer records among all sports, kind of like wiki's football version like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_%28association_football%29#Players
but for all major sports combined, with the highest transfers of all the major team sports. Now I know that it'd be tough to even track since other sports handle their transfers/trades in such a different manner than football and as a result the amount of the fee would look different given the difference of how contracts are made and agreed on. But is anyone aware of such a list, or something similar?
I guess it would have to be recent as well since with football, 4 of the 10 highest transfers were done just this summer! And it's a trend that is sure to continue as well with each summer seeing more money dropped than the last.
So if there is something online like this let us know, I'm sure it would lead to great discussions and it's still football-related right?

I'd look at Baseball figures, im pretty sure theres some crazy money being thrown around for baseballers too
In Australia our largest ever transfer fee is 1mil AUD, although transfer fees are very rare in Australian sport.

Formula 1 has some transfer fees, too, but nowhere near football.

The most ridiculous thing ever is Mayweather's contract.30 million per fight and he fights 1-2 times a year.

Re: Where does football rank
This is an odd comparison to make because not too many other sports have systems where players are purchased outright from other teams.
I don't think baseball is a good comparison at all. Transfer fees are different from player contracts, which are what get exchanged in baseball deals. The only time players get bought in the same manner as soccer/football are when players not in the league are brought in from abroad (i.e. Daisuke Matsuzaka to Boston Red Sox, or Yu Darvish to Texas Rangers). And those don't happen often.
Otherwise, it's primarily just player swaps with occasional insignificant amounts of cash included.
