sportsczy, I just read that Ntep publicly said he's leaving in January, do you know what team?

OM most likely... he wants to start. He publicly thanked Arsenal, PSG, etc. for their interest; but said he has no intention of going somewhere he wouldn't play immediately. St Etienne is mentioned for some reason, although that makes no sense lol.
I think Monaco may jump in too. They have playing time to offer on the left wing.

@rwo, how is mohammed Salah, so called Egyptian Messi, I think he is good but that name seems overhyped from what I have seen so far in this season.

Personally I've only really seen him twice against Spurs in the EL last year and he ran Spurs ragged and was Basel's best player. Looked really talented, Egyptian Messi is obviously too far.
Haven't watched him enough to properly judge though.

I think Chelsea fans know better about him as he scored against them in both the legs

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Momo is lightning fast, but he has one big problem: finishing. If he would really manage to finish the chances he creates, he would be pretty high up in the Golden Boot, but so far he causes more facepalm moments in front of the goal than something that shows on the table. He *is* a very good player, though.HEIL MEIN REDS wrote:@rwo, how is mohammed Salah, so called Egyptian Messi, I think he is good but that name seems overhyped from what I have seen so far in this season.
As things look, he will leave Basel in direction BPL in summer, maybe even already in January, although I think that Basel would prefer to keep him till the end of the season. Maybe they will agree on a pre-contract in January and he'll leave in summer, just like Shaq did last season.
Blick has a headline that sees Momo Salah leaving for 18 mio CHF to Liverpool:

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
That sounds precisely like what I've heard elsewhere. He's usually made out to be a very talented player, but simply isn't the finished article yet. If this is true, it fits with the type of player we seem to target under Rodgers. If he has the potential that many are claiming, £12.5 mil could be very shrewd business.rwo power wrote:Momo is lightning fast, but he has one big problem: finishing. You could make the claim that Salah (from his description, as I haven't been able to see him play this season) is not the experienced, finished-product that many believe LFC needs to sign in January. However, I would remind everyone that similar statements were made about Sturridge and Coutinho. I'm certainly not claiming that he's nailed on to be as good as those two. I'm merely saying that we shouldn't write off this transfer before it even occurs.

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Well, as I have watched almost every Basel match in the Swiss Super League, Swiss Cup, CL qualification and CL, I have seen quite some of Mohamed Salah (even though I have to admit that my attention is usually directed more towards a certain other player ^^), and the things that are most obvious about him are indeed his speed and lack of finishing accuracy. But then, he just turned 21, so he does have some time to learn still.
One problem is that in England, the view of him is a bit skewed as people there will likely have seen the two goals he scored against Chelsea. What they probably don't know is that these two goals were the only ones he scored in the CL proper, and in the Swiss League he even scored only 4 goals in 18 matches. As I said, the number of chances he squanders is monumental. On the other hand, he is so dangerous that he usually draws quite some defenders on him, which opens up spaces for the other attackers.

I'd agree, a lot of the English media seem to view him as some sort of winger/striker hybrid. If that's what we expect, we may well be very disappointed.rwo power wrote:Well, as I have watched almost every Basel match in the Swiss Super League, Swiss Cup, CL qualification and CL, I have seen quite some of Mohamed Salah (even though I have to admit that my attention is usually directed more towards a certain other player ^^), and the things that are most obvious about him are indeed his speed and lack of finishing accuracy. On the other hand, I firmly believe the idea is to sign a pacey, right-sided creator to dove-tail with Coutinho. He would ideally replace Hendo on the right side of our attack, making the formation more of a true 4-2-2-2 (when Sturidge is fit). When we only have one striker, he'd be ideal for the right side of a 4-2-3-1 with Hendo or Sterling on the left.
You may say that Suso could come back next season and do a similar role on the right side of the two AMs in a 4-2-2-2, but Salah's pace gives him an added dimension and a different tactical option. If this transfer happens, we could see a Coutinho-Suso-Salah lineup behind a striker in the near future... That's a pretty tasty prospect.

I'm sure they printed that just cause we played against them. I don't see why Villareal would even consider selling given they don't have a replacement (unless Rossell does something retarded like offer them Bartra)

his contract will be up in summer though, its not unlikely that he will be sold especially on a high like scoring against barca.

I think that was a common knowledge thing though, that PSG are going to make a bid for Pogba, and its probably going to be around 50m.
