Player of the Month: August 2013

Whoever wins will be in our avatars/sigs for the next month!

NDJ was our player of the month. Was great in pre season and in the CL. Was calm and assured on the ball and offered a defensive shield against a largely untested defense against PSV.

Poli for me. Consistently great in all matches. Was best player in Hellas Verona horror show, had a great pre-season, instant impact against PSV, you could not ask for more. Fantastic first month from Andrea, only good thing to happen in our depressing mercato this season.

It's not really worth the hassle merging seeing as nobody voted in the original thread. I think I made vote cancelling an option, but if not, please change it. Thanks!

Poli was fantastic everytime he played. Show some great consistency and contributed in all of his games

No disrespect to NDJ, he has been awesome too. Came back from an 10 month injury and entered the fray with some style with that goal against Valencia. He has been a rock in midfield in our biggest games, shame he couldn't play against Verona

I think i will go with Poli since he's out to prove something after his Inter stint, the boy has impressed me and made me develop a crush on him. Hoping for more of the same

lol i got poli crush too, i didn't have same crush on muntari though (ex-inter) lol

poli has been simply incredible. at some point allegri should decide that he needs to be regular, that would only improve poli even more!

zapata said that saponara and poli would be surprise players this season, and he was right.

this was between poli and nigel but i think poli wins it.

though i am impressed that balotelli and el sharawwy is doing quite well too. we need to see improvements coming from midfielders, and defenders, and i am counting days where we see mexes and zapata in poll too.

i am not worried about abate and de sciglio because im sure they will be great performers too.

For me Poli has been outstanding despite seeing few minutes but my vote goes to KPB for his two goalss in our most important game of the season so far

It is quite ironic given the fact that I have long been the champion of Poli on this forum that I have voted for Nigel De Jong, however I have been ecstatic with Poli's arrival and I look forward to his continuing contributions to the team. I have mostly been swayed by the reduced time Poli has had, the effect of De Jong's absence against Hellas and the fact that De Jong is performing like such despite having just returned from a devastating injury. Both however are worthy winners.

Also whilst harsh, I don't feel that Montolivo and De Sciglio have done enough to warrant inclusion in such a poll. Mattia has barely featured whilst Riccardo always starts the season slowly and we are unlikely to see him hit top form for another month.
