Chelsea's AMs puzzle

Mind boggling number of top attacking midfielders into one team, this reminds me of the situation mourinho created in Madrid between Benzema and Higuain. Too much competition is not good, and wont help chelsea.

Mata
Hazard
Oscar
De Bruyne
Schurrle
Willian
Moses? Laughing

None will play CF, none is good at CM. what the heck is moutinho planning here? Of the 6, 4 or at most 5 will get the call every week.

So can some chelsea fan provide an explanation for us? are you sticking with the 4231 or switching to 433 with one holding midfielder and the some of those AMs (De Bruyne and Oscar most likely) will play CMs (interiores)?

i suppose with Etoo, Ba will be sold and Torres or Lukaku ostracized yes?

Schurrle signing looks completely useless to me. Is he an Emenelo (whatever is name)? because if so, he is already ostracized but he doesnt know it yet.

Has mourinho been trying Oscar at CM? because him playing alongside Ramires sounds completely ridiculous and unlike anything mourinho has ever done in his career.

I'd happily take Moses at Liverpool, but even then Chelsea are stacked.

I dont know for sure, but for a manager that has never relied on midfielders playing n9, i doubt he will do it. Now i didnt see your preseason but did mourinho even tried that against an half decent team?

Not to mention, you just signed Etoo... I just cant see that happening.

Oscar and Hazard are starters for sure under Mou.I have a feeling Mata will be a bench player this season

Anyway Gil's team is about right apart from the Oscar in the pivot part he will rotate with Mata.

Lamps and Ramires/Van Ginkel.

after all Mou bought Cacktrao for 30ME as a backup for Marcelo. When the Chelsea crowd ask for Mata Mou will just bench Willian without remorse Laughing

Oscar in the pivot is highly un-mourinhoish.. He barely played Modric at CM and mostly played as an AM. He likes cultured midfielders as his central midfielders. Sahin is another example,one of the reason he got axed was mou didnt like his defending.

However with Rooney/Eto'o being linked recently I don't think Schurrle will play up front. Plus there's also Ba, Lukaku and Torres. They didn't need Schurrle and Willian.

So their central midfield area is rather thin then? Lampard, Ramires, Van Ginkel, mikel? thin and poor quality wise. They could have made a signing there instead of wasting money to double up position with a bunch of 35 millions guys

Schürrle played CF a lot for youth teams, and a couple of times for Mainz.

Willian isn't going to be a sure starter. Not when De Bruyne is around. KDB has been brilliant since preseason and already has an assist this season. So contrary to what you're thinking, yes he will get playing time. Not to mention Mou likes him a lot.

Its sad but I think Moses will be going out on loan. Especially sad because he looked even better in preseason. Everyone of these players are quality but he seems to be the one that'll most likely go out on loan. I still have no idea why we signed Willian ND Schurrle when we already had Mazacar plus Moses plus De Bruyne coming back from his loan spell.

Then again, we played 69 games or so last season so there might be room for all. We obviously aren't going to play that many games this season, especially when you consider the fact that we aren't in the WCC this time but we'll see. But Mou did mention that he'd rather have a 22 man squad than 25 and that we'll probably need to loan 1 or two players.

My guesses would be Ba and Moses.

We've had Torres for 3 seasons now. What does that tell you? Besides, they're all young. No one expects them to win the PL & CL within 2 years. Relax.
