In less than 3 hours time, the season kicks off. We expect nothing less than a win, however we all know how Sampdoria crushed us last season, and there may be a little doubt in the players heads.

Sampdoria always seems to give us problems. Not just last season, but I remember years ago as well they gave us lots of problems as well. Still think we should be able to crush them on the first day of the season. Nothing less than a win today will suffice. Hoping we play a full strength lineup with the only absence being Marchisio:


With Llorente getting a good amount of time as well, and hopefully Pepe getting some time as the LWB as I feel when hes fully fit he fits that role perfectly.

Rather lousy game. I don't like that Conte didn't use any substitutions until the 89th minute, they were needed earlier- even after Juventus scored, fresh legs would have been useful in a game like this. Really unimpressed.

Unimpressive performance by the team as a whole, Tevez did some interesting things- very good movement and his touch was excellent for the most part.

Nasty tackle on Lichtsteiner at the end, deserved red.

Only complaint for me is that we held off the subs for too long.

But yeah great job, good 3 points and Carlos will be confident going forward from the beginning. Excellent night.
