Juventus will ignore Pogba offers
Juventus have told admirers of Paul Pogba that making an offer for the player would be a waste of time.
Reports this week suggested Arsenal were ready to make a £20m – €23.5m – bid for the Frenchman. Chelsea have also subsequently been linked.
“Forget about Pogba,” Bianconeri director general Beppe Marotta is quoted as saying in Tuttosport. “We do not have the slightest intention of listening to any offer which may arrive for our midfielder.”
Juve signed the new French international last summer after his contract at Manchester United came to an end.
The 20-year-old had a debut campaign to remember in Italy where he scored six goals in 38 games across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
Pogba is set to be handed a starting shirt at the beginning of this term given that fellow midfielder Claudio Marchisio will be sidelined for the next month.
The youngster is tied to the Bianconeri by a €1.5m a season contract until 2016. Talks regarding a new improved deal will start once the transfer window closes.
