Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
Messi is also 1 goal from being top scorer in El Clasico, currently tied with Di Stefano at 18. And 13 goals from Champions League top scorer, Messi 59, Raul 71. Imagine being all these, even before reaching his prime.

You can guess, I dont follow stats and stuff like that. They dont tell me much.
But yeah, aslong as he played 30 games he should manage it. Though eventually I do believe there will come a time where he scores less and plays deeper and deeper.
if he drops any deeper,he will be a CM,lol.
But what I meant was, as you know he drops deep when the ball is at the back and perhaps too deep when its already in midfield. But once the ball is in the final third, he is getting into goalscoring positions.
Eventually, I wouldnt be surprised if that slows down in some time and perhaps leading to Barca using a 9 again.

Damn he steals balls without hurting anyone. Its because he is one level above than everyone at acceleration, balance and turning

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
is that qualifying round?? whom are Argentina playing against??? whats the date...
the doctor said, with this kind of injury its possible to heal even before Malaga game. Though i am sure we don need him vs Malaga. This is not same malaga as last season , i guess....

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
His injuries are a real concern.Maybe its an effect of us rushing him back last season for the PSG game.
Similar to how Iniesta was rushed back for the 2009 CL final. We won the final then but Iniesta was injured the entire next season.
Cruyff had even written an article about it,whether winning the CL was worth Iniesta spending the entire next season injured.
In that case probably yes. Here we didnt win the CL.Just hope Messi doesnt suffer the same fate as Iniesta.

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
I knew this would happen..
rushing hamstring injurys is very very dangerous.. not only can he reinjure it, it can cause issues with other parts of the leg.
he needs more then just a week time out. He needs at least a month or more

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
I think it's likelier that Messi rushed himself and Martino 'the boss' is nowhere near as in control of his star as we thought.
Seriously what is Juanjo Brau doing?

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
maybe the fact he is training away from the team is because he is taking precaution and not going to play tomorrow, not that he is injured again.

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
From an outsider's perspective, I really think Juanjo Brau, Messi's physio, is the one to blame here. Tito and Martino will play him based on what their physios tell them, they act on the information they are given. If Brau is the one managing Messi's injuries since April and allowing him to play, or maybe changed something or is not enforcing as strictly in the injury prevention process, then he should be held accountable for them.free_cat wrote:Then Martino is an idiot.
