Btw,i have thoroughly compared Juventus' wage bill from last season and this season and there seems to be several small changes so much so that there is much doubt over the accuracy of these numbers. Some of it could be guesswork also or a lot of it perhaps.

We are still wasteful though.

We have gotten rid of bloody Flamini, but Mexes is still a huge cost, and in what world does Matri deserve a bloody 2.5 Million.

Matri's whole deal is a stupid mess.

Also, we still have scrubs like Bonera in the team, which is frankly baffling.

In contrast, Juve's wage bill while higher makes more sense, as they don't give out money to useless scrubs.

We have too many players. That's the main problem.

Erick Thohir could become the new majority shareholder at Inter before this weekend’s game against Juventus, reports claim.

Corriere dello Sport have insisted this afternoon that the Indonesian businessman will travel to Italy later this week to finally confirm the deal.

The tycoon, who has stakes in MLS side D.C United, has been linked with investment in the Nerazzurri for months now.

Lawyers from both sides have been meeting regularly over the past few days, the paper suggests, with an agreement apparently very close.

The best thing about this deal is the fact that Thohir is not looking to buy success by breaking the bank, he's coming to capitalize on the Inter brand to create new sources of revenue which will make the club self sufficient on the long run. Obviously a great deal not just for us but for Serie A as a whole.

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has tipped Napoli and Milan to do well in the Champions League this season.

The Premier League club play Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen in Group D of the competition, but the Argentine striker has claimed that the Partenopei and the Rossoneri could cause some problems.

“The Champions League is very tough,” he told Extra Time. “In recent years it has gone wrong for us, but hopefully this season we will do well.

“Our objective is to pass the group stage. Then with some luck hopefully we can get to the final or amongst the last four.

“There are surprises now and then, but you’d have to say the favourites are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern.

“You have to be focused in the Champions League, otherwise anything could happen.

“I think Napoli can lead the way – they can get to the quarter-finals at least. And Milan usually go forward to the latter rounds.”
'Napoli can get to Quarter-Finals atleast' ? What is he smoking down there in Manchester ? :coffee:

Considering he is related to Maradona, I'm not surprised he has a soft spot for Napoli.

About time. Inter leave the San Siro in perhaps 10 years and we need to figure out what to do with it also.

Pallotta confirmed work on building a new stadium for the Giallorossi is progressing very well.

“We have been working for 18 months in building our stadium in Rome. We currently play in the Olympic Stadium which was built in the early 60s.

“It’s 80,000 people at the end of the day and you’re not on the pitch because you have a track around it, so it’s not the best fan experience.

“We’re about to build a new stadium with 60,000 people in three years, we’ll have some big announcements in the next couple of months, Nike will build a superstore, we’ll build a Hall of Fame. The cost? I don’t want to say it…”

“Is Bale worth the €100m Real Madrid paid for him? In this market if you say an outlandish figure then a club comes along and pays it,” Benitez told SportMediaset.

“In that case, I say Hamsik is priceless and is not for sale, because we do not want to lose him.

“When Edinson Cavani was sold, I handed over a list with five potential replacements and Gonzalo Higuain was among them.”

The Spaniard also revealed an Italian influence on his management career.

“I always tried to cherry-pick the best from everyone I worked with, but if I have to talk about inspiration then I say Arrigo Sacchi.

“When I was at the Real Madrid youth academy, his attacking style of play set the example for me.”

“I have never regretted the decision to not join Bayern because I’m convinced that Juve will soon be able to win the Champions League,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I joined a great club, with very strong teammates and an exceptional Coach.

“Antonio Conte has enhanced my qualities and has got me to see football in a different way, a much more professional way. The Coach is obsessed by a culture of work.”

“I have received offers from other teams, but my family always plays a decisive role in the decisions I make,” he added.

“I see that my wife and my son are very happy in Turin. And then the value of Juventus is enormous.

“I have tattooed three stars and the two Scudetti won with Juventus because Italy is now in my heart, as is this club.”
