Meh, before I would find it annoying when people used to make fun of Moysie. Sometimes, I get the urge to defend him. Then I remember I dislike him so I don't mind it at all. Some of things posted are pretty funny too, I've got to admit, including Fergie's face after we lose

Hapless_Hans wrote:LB, sure I was joking about the 'support your team' thing.
Or more accurately, it was meant as an example how a passive-aggressive post would look like, you know, me being bitchy after yesterday's game
We don't disagree on any of this either, my banter is only meant as that, jokingly.
I suspected it could be more close than everyone was hyping about because, like you guys, I know that your team isn't so much lacking quality as it's lacking motivation, proper tactics and man management in the league.
None of this did apply yesterday, i.e. yesterday your team didn't play against Moysie, but against European public opinion and for their honour.
as for me frquently posting here, sorry about that - I have a hard time adjusting to the GL etiquette that the place for banter is the general section and the club section are a bit taboo - but I will adhere to that more now!
no hard feeling bruh. keep coming here. You are a good guy.

Buttner earned it, but we're going to have to attack and I think Evra is a better option then.
All logic says it's easier to score at home, than away. So, we played defensively at home, now we have to play attacking away. Moyes logic
I guess he was more afraid not to concede, than wanting to score.

Moyes just didn't want to get boo'd off the pitch at Old Trafford...now he can go to the Allianz and only have to deal with the travelling fans instead of 70,000

I'm counting on "we're the best away team in the PL" magic to pull this one off.

Fellaini hasn't travelled, because he has sore elbows. The irony!
Rafael and Evans both haven't travelled too, unfortunately.
Rooney has. Moyesie is so shit at mind games, after he told the reporters Rooney was injured he probably followed it with two mass massive winks.

lmao...you really couldn't make it up about Fellaini's injuries. Prolly from all his snidy elbows to opponents. I'm so relieved he won't be featuring in tomorrow's game. Thank God!
Shame about Rafa. I guess we could put Jones there, he didn't do too bad there in the first leg. Hope Moyes doesn't bottle it and decide to stick Smalling there just to add more defensive steel. Jones is a much better RB than Smalling.
As for Rooney, he was fit all along. Laughable attempt of mind games by Moyes lol. No point in all that if it leaks out that he will be fit to play. I saw it from a mile away.

Fergie got Rooney to put on a protective boot before we played Bayern, despite being healed so it would still seem as he was injured Moysie has a long way to go

Fergie was just a genius. He knew the ins and outs of football in every aspect. You can't teach that. Only one close to understanding these ways is Mou

The nerves are going to be a bit much watching this match tomorrow. It's the hope that kills you. I know we're massive underdogs, but if we somehow find ourselves 0-1 up with like 20 mins to go then concede 2 to get eliminated, that's going to crush me something serious.
If we're going to get eliminated, make it something akin to a quick painless death. lol. Ofcourse I want our players to go down with a fight, aah I'm so conflicted.
Tomorrow will require the biggest effort the players will have to put in this season thus far.

Yeah it's the hope that kills. I actually don't think it has anything with 'Moyes and turning a corner', as fans we're just so used to comebacks in the past that's where I think the belief stems from. Better to go into the match believing imo.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Uefa Champions League Thread
Apparently tonight's line-up will be:
De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Evra; Carrick, Fletcher; Valencia, Kagawa, Welbeck; Rooney
EDIT: line-up was correct, the subs bench is: Lindegaard, Büttner, Ferdinand, Giggs, Januzaj, Young, Hernandez
I wish Nani was on the bench - actually our highest goalscorer against Bayern ever with two goals. Oh well.
Otherwise, as good a line-up and subs bench we could have picked.

This is the same competion where a Chelsea who was struggling in the PL managed to come back the impossible against Barca and Bayern in their own backyard, to not mention yesterday's comeback. And do not forget how you progressed from the last 16 against Olympiakos or how you managed to win your first CL against the same opponent of tonight. Or how lucky they were to scrap an 1-1 draw 1 week ago. This competion is just special, far from predictable and rational. Have faith guys and enjoy tonight's match

Thanks, Jay. Cool avatar btw.
I have no complaints with that line up tbh. Well done Moyes.
good luck United. Whatever happens, all I want to see is the players playing for the shirt tonight.
Lets do this!

I hope it's Kagawa behind Rooney, they form a good partnership. Welbeck on the left so he can use his pace.
Hopefully, we can get Rooney a bit more on the ball. He's not Andy Carroll and that's why he couldn't effect the game as much as he wanted to last week. He still, however, managed to create the two best chances of the match.
Bayern are playing with no DM, Kagawa will have a lot more freedom.

Really worried about Evra tonight. He is a big liability. If I see him casually jogging back into position or being easily skinned, I'm gonna be fuming.
As for Young, as long he doesn't stink out the place by making an appearance, all is well with me.
