How will PSG line up this season?

So far, PSG have made one of the biggest waves in the summer transfer market. With the departure of Anceolotti, they have signed Laurent Blanc as their new manager and have so far signed Cavani, Lucas Digne and Marquinhos. Ibrahimovich recently stated that he has no reason of leaving PSG and is looking forward to partner up with Cavani. Veratti also said similar things. The question is with a new coach and a new world class striker, one which they already have with Ibrahimovich, how are they going to line up. Back 5 is a no brainer.


With Jallet as the obvious weak link, I have not seen PSG seriously linked with a RB so far, rather they have been linked with CMs, most notably Hernanes and Cabaye. Furhter up the question lies. They will have to player a two striker formation of course to accommodate both Ibrahimovich and Cavani, which ditches the 4-2-3-1 while they also have Lavezzi, Lucas Moura, Pastore in the squad. With all these player, what do you think will be Blanc's main lineup for PSG next season?

They've played 442 exclusively in the preseason so far. It's clear that's the formation

Bench will include Lavezzi, Motta, Menez, Maxwell, Alex or Sakho and Chantome or another CM.

Pastore on the wing? He is quite ineffective there imo and is Lavezzi going to be happy in the bench especially now that World Cup is coming and Argentina have a highly competetive forward line. And I thought Menez, one of Sakho or Alex and Chantome are leaving? Van Der Wiel, is Blanc happy with him? Is PSG not looking for a RB at all sports? They have a great squad, can easily go to CL semis unless they face Bayern/Barca etc on quarter finals.

No Coentrao in the lineup ?  

Pastore has been playing left AM for the second half of last season and all preseason... been PSG's best player in the preseason by far. Lavezzi is going to have to learn to play off the bench. He's nowhere hear Pastore's level right now.

Jallet/VDW will start the season imo unless Sagna becomes available. Inter Milan are trying to get VDW... but he's been playing well so far in preseason surprisingly. Once PSG play Madrid in a few days, PSG will get a good indication of their RBs. I think that's what they're waiting for before they make a move.

The only people on the sell list either because club wants to let them go or they asked are:

- Lugano
- Chantome
- Bodmer
- Gameiro (left for Sevilla)
- Alex unless Sakho asks to leave
- Momo Sissoko

That's it. Nobody else is leaving.
