Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
Watched the whole season, the story is good because it's based on Stephen King's novel but the acting is horrible. Don't thing it will come back for another seasonjuventus101 wrote:Anyone see Under the Dome? I know its not an elite show, but its alotta fun. Very interesting concept too. Ive only seen the first 3 episodes so far, but im really liking it.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
I actually watched this series twice now and find it to be an underdog. I don't find the acting to be as bad as some say, however there are some characters that rub me the wrong way.
I think it has actually been given a second season from what I read. Apparently people are upset because it was only supposed to be one season. I feel that they should run it for one more season and call it a day.

Episode 2 is tonight.
- Spoiler:
- The show is going to help be a lead in to Avengers 2, because I'm willing to wager that Coulson is a pre-cursor to Ultron (in that he's not human anymore). This is the easiest way to tie the franchises together, and it will help soften the blow when they will pull him out of the show so that he can become Vision.

My friend who's a TV junkie has been telling me about the shield. If you say it's as good as the Wire I definitely need to get on that because The Wire is the best TV show ever in my opinion (Breaking Bad is second...)

- Ultron is gonna be created by Tony Stark, a version of jarvis going rouge, there is already a animatic that showed that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwru8C46qZE
Plus there will only be a few cameos here and there in Avengers, but they are not gonna try to tie it too much other then some hints and cameos

Any of the new shows catch anyone's fancy? Can't say that any particular show has peeked my interest yet.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
I must of been drawing a blank, yeah we're on the Sleepy Hollow train, just wondering how they are going to keep it fresh in the second season.
Shows like Sleepy Hollow and The Following just feel like they should be one season spectaculars.

I enjoyed The following, not sure how you can make another season entirely though. A couple of the serial killers are left, literally a couple. And they don't have the smarts or the resources of Joe Carroll

Who else watches Boardwalk Empire? Show is great but I can't help but see some major unfulfilled potential in it. When I saw the pilot, I thought this would be a GOAT show. Seriously the setting, characters, story made me ready for the Godfather of TV. Scorcese directing the first episode set some real unreasonable expectations.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
quite a few watch it here, and we've spoken about it before. I like it, at it's best it's unrivaled, but there's a lot of slow build up and straihgt up dull moments/episodes, some of the characters are unbearably boring for me. Margaret and the cheeeeeldreeeen, for example. It's good but like you say, unfulfilled potential.M99 wrote:Who else watches Boardwalk Empire? Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
Anyone been watching the Bridge?
I'm behind on it, but was 3 episodes in and really liked it. Diane Kruger's character is quite interesting.
Also, I've become a fan of Longmire as well. Wyoming's a strange, random place for a crime drama, but it fits. I like it.

The Tomorrow People is basically Push + Jumper made into a TV show. Not impressed. Nothing new.

Watched it just now. What a brilliant start to the new season. They can easily go with another 24 episodes with the current theme.Tomwin Lannister wrote:Supernatural great yet again

Thinking about making a Season 9 thread. But i need to know how many people will contribute to it.
