One thing though, due to the GL hype, I'm going to give Justified a go.

Good. Give Justified a try. But do yourself a favor and deal with thr firrst half of the first season. It starts off only decent but after that it changes into more continuing storylines and brings in some of the best characters to ever grace television screens. Really. Boyd Crowder, Mags and Dicky Bennett, Ava, Raylan obviously, etc are some of the best characters ive ever seen. In my opinion the first season is also the worst of Justified. The fourth is personally my favorite but the third and especially second are equally awesome. Ive also heard complaints that some people just dont ljke the southern feel of the show Personally I wasnt too keen on it either for the first few episodes but it grew on me fast and now I actually love that about the show.

Tom you will love Breaking Bad. GOAT show. Picks up remarkably after the 1st season. 3rd season onwards is just ridiculous.
