Awesome action/drama series with a great story & characters. Highly recommend
Made by creator of Lost & Cristopher Nolan's brother, starring Ben Linus from Lost & Jim Caviezel (played Jesus in passion of christ)
Will definitely give it a go.
Out of interest what is first?

I personally enjoy Wipeout. Yes, it's a lazy copy of a spoof of an old semi-serious Japanese game show/obstacle course and yes the hosts are bland as hell, but there's something about seeing the lowest common denominators of our population getting bashed in the head and smacked in the face repeatedly that always cheers me up just a little bit.
Now don't tell me that if you weren't in their Position you would probably get bashed around too

I'm watching it right now. Definitely doesn't come close to the likes of Fringe or Lost by JJ. But it's not bad. IT's something to waste time.
Look at my above list, definitely better shows on it than Person of Interest.

I'd be on the look out for all of the lines that give the moving pieces away as I was approaching the course. I'd probably fail in the very first round because I spent too much time trying to get my run perfect rather than just running and gunning, to be honest.

I love Wipeout. Such a fun waste of time show it is.

You finished season 1?
I got through a couple episodes, not sure how I really feel about it. It kind of trivializes prison a little, but it ain't really that funny. The individual back stories seem most impact and Chapman is definitely hot.

Hardly anybody ever won the last part though lmfao
And yeah it was also on a channel called Challenge or something on Sky. Where those show types went.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
yeah I would watch them on Challenge, man it's so nostalgic I really loved that show. I swear I saw all of the eps more than once and there couldn't have been more than 5 or so winners. I think they used to have a couple of different final parts but the only one I can remember is the part with the bumper cars and water/laser guns.
They pretty much gave them no chance to win Get all that way beating tons of opposition and they were ruthless. Still, would have been a fun experience.
gonna head to youtube and watch some clips now

Yeah winning was nearly impossible
Decent shooters in superior vehicles and superior numbers.
I loved the one where they'd run though a load of doors with like fat sumo people running about and they had to avoid them
One time somebody thought outside of the box and climbed up and ran around the frame ffs.

This is how I first felt about the show (Person of Interest) and after a while, it definitely began to grow on me. I still would not put it on par with Fringe, however it has definitely gotten closer as I continue to watch.

- Ray Donovan is pretty frakking awesome. Good show
- Just started watching FX's The Bridge with Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir....gritty and very intriguing...great first 2 episodes.
As for guilty pleasures, not even gonna lie....I love trash TV...when I'm home from work, I'm all up in Maury, Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos.
Strange enough, I've even taken to Duck Dynasty

True I have grown to like it more as I've kept watching, however like you said Fringe is absolutely sublime, and Lost for me (especially the first 3/4 seasons) is some of my favorite mind boggling stuff I've seen on TV. So Person of Interest can't touch those two. It's defintely worth a watch but there is definitely a better pool of shows (a must see category) to choose from before having to to watch this.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 2
Didn't know why exactly it got me hooked, but it did. Its like a female, drama filled, without the trying to break out, somewhat lesbian version of Prison Break. If that makes any senseLe Samourai wrote:Blue Barrett wrote:Orange Is The New Black

Its quite different from my preference but it caught my attention. Season 1 ended with a shocker too.
