Time will tell but Shirley was definitely an Emenalo signing when you consider the fact we've been tracking him since the summer of 2011.

Emenalo doesn't have the balls to oppose Mourinho. Even if this was an Emenalo signing, it must have been one that Mourinho agreed with & approved.

Probably not. Schurrle(as much as I hate this signing) gives us our 2nd true winger. The only one we had was Moses. Its a good option to have and I'd expect he'll play quite frequently next season.

His versatility also means he can slot in at CF for stretches in a match just to give the opposition a different look. 

He's potent offensively obviously but he's also SO MUCH BETTER at defending than Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Moses or KDB. That's a good option to have too for many different reasons.

I've decided to overlook the cons and hope for the best from him.

Chelsea didn't need him. They already have Oscar, Mata and Hazard and for CF someone like Cavani, Lewandowski, Gomez etc probably would be a better option. 

Also Schurrle is a player who should be starting.

Schurrle is our new Kalou and an upgrade to him.

Schurrle looks just like the next marin to me.

So basically chelsea has 

Hazard - Mata - Oscar - Shurle - Moses  behind the striker ( which are one of Ba, Lukaku, Torres for now ) 

+ De bruyne , Piazon  potentially even if they'll leave imo. 

If Mourinho keep playing defensive football with that .... So much potential here

we already had an interesting discussion about schürrle (and his alleged similarities with robben) in another thread. i'm not a fan of him and he can't be mentioned in the same breath as the known top tier of german talent - that's for sure.

however, he does offer some potential and he seems like an ambitious and hardworking kid. he does a few things pretty well already but it really depends on how he is used and how much patience people have with him. with his speed and good control he'll be able to dazzle quite a few defenders in the EPL and he will score a few screamers. but don't expect him to turn games around on his own. i can't think of an occasion where he did that in the bundesliga. he can be a great role player with potential for more, if he is given the time.

Because I think he could be a valuable asset at Dortmund and the Klopp could bring out the best in him, moreover he'd likely get more playing time in Dortmund than at Chelsea, which would be better for his WC2014 starting chances.
