Similar to Piazon to Malaga for Isco but that never happened.

Kondogbia is a beast but way to inexperienced, I'd rather De Rossi but that looks unlikely

Mediaset are reporting that we've agreed to personal terms with Cavani.

£140,000 per week apparently.

I doubt it's true though.

Mediaset, the same people who said personal terms and transfer fee were agreed 3 weeks ago AND that Cavani would be announced as a Chelsea player at Mourinho's first press conference.

I don't believe it either, I am just sharing what I am seeing.

Also, rumours about that our old Friend Carletto wants Luis Suarez at Real Madrid. This is good news for us on two counts, gets rid of the serial biter from the PL and takes them out of the race for Cavani, If it's true, we'd be the last team in for him and could easily wait till the 10th of August when his release clause expires and negotiate a smaller fee.

Too much is being made of this release clause expiration. If anything, it'll make signing him even harder as DeLaurentiis can turn down any offer after it expires. If he's not willing to accept a lower offer now which it's perfectly in his rights to, why would he suddenly then be happy to after the 10th? Doesn't make any sense.

Cavani can force his way out then. At which point De Laurentiis has two options, keep an unhappy player who will will affect the rest of the squad or sell him off cheaper.

He can't force his way out either way. He signed a contract and is legally binded by it.
