Re: The Official José Mourinho Thread
I know just the man, actually. He's a former player AND manager, is second only to Mourinho in # of trophies won in club history, has been out of management for awhile and would no doubt be delighted to get back in, is adored by the fans, and is class personified:
- Spoiler:
Let's make it happen, José

I'm just kidding.
I doubt it would happen, but it would be funny if it did.

Interesting, Schurrle deal could be more or less wrapped up with it.

Ballack hails "fantastic" Mourinho return:

Gullit questions Mourinho appointment:

Contrasting feelings

"To have Jose Mourinho at Chelsea is a fantastic decision. He is a great character and a great coach. Even at his age he has had unbelievable success.
To go back to a club like this, it is never a bad decision."
Gullit questions Mourinho appointment:
http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1468663/ruud-gullit-questions-jose-mourinho-return-chelsea?cc=5901
"Is it a good idea for him? I don't know. There is the same chemistry between him and the fans, yes. He is one of the best coaches there is. But can he do it, can he do it again? We are going to see."
"I think he will be very keen on doing well here but I just think it's the ones who are less expected to who end up winning the best prizes."

Re: The Official José Mourinho Thread
There will certainly be doubt, I am still doubting, but nonetheless mourinho has either won the league with the team or came in second never below that line, and in the champions league has taken each team to atleast the semis. What he needs to work on is keeping the peace minding that he has a very strong personality and also developing the club besides just wining trophies, after all this seems like the club he has the most heart in.

Re: The Official José Mourinho Thread
Anyone watch Michael Ballack's testimonial?
It ended 4-3 to the World XI managed by Mourinho. The game included the likes of Drogba, Malouda, Essien, Ballack, Carvalho, Sheva, etc. The goals include, among one from Schurrle, a hat-trick from Ballack and a brace from Drogba.
Very much a Chelsea old-boy evening

Jose Mourinho is planning a long second stint at Chelsea:

"I am so happy to be back, I am where I want to be and where people really want me to be."
"I have a big emotional connection with the club, I have got a very young team in my hands with a lot of very young talented players, it's time to develop the players."
"The players need stability and I am in Chelsea to give that stability to the team and players, and I am going to stay a long time."

Eden Hazard welcomes the return of José Mourinho at Chelsea:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jun/05/chelsea-eden-hazard-jose-mourinho?CMP=twt_gu
"They already knew for a long time at Chelsea that he was going to sign and they all told me that it would be a good thing for me. José Mourinho is someone special and it's a pleasure to have him as a coach."
"Maybe in the first training session I will be a bit intimidated – after all, it's José Mourinho. But he is also a man, with two arms and two legs and so, in the end, I will have a normal relationship with him, just as I have with my previous coaches."
"This season I gave a lot of assists but next season I want to score more goals … I want to score 50 or 60 like Messi or Ronaldo. I lack that killer instinct. Messi and Ronaldo are born to score, it's in their nature but I still choose the nice dribble or the beautiful pass too often. I have to shoot more."
"Being linked to players is normal at big clubs, and certainly at Chelsea, where everyone knows the reputation of Roman Abramovich. He buys a lot of players. At such a club you never have time to rest. You have to be 100% all of the time. But even if Chelsea bought nobody, I would still have to fight for my position."

Yea of course I remember his home record with us was impeccable (literally) and he's famously good at home, but seeing it laid out on paper like that was almost awing.
4 losses in 11 years. Amazing.

Re: The Official José Mourinho Thread
I don't see how he can. That would mean playing Mata one side and Hazard the other, so where would that leave Oscar, Schurrle, increasing talk of Hulk, etc?
Don't see it myself. He stuck to the 4-2-3-1 at Real and I think he will do here as well.
