Juve bid Melo and €5m for Tevez

Juventus could use Felipe Melo as part of the deal to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.

The Bianconeri have stated they want a new centre-forward and negotiations are also on-going with Real Madrid for Gonzalo Higuain.

According to Leggo newspaper, Juve have suddenly moved closer to capturing Tevez after discovering they own a player City would like.

Felipe Melo has spent the last two seasons on loan with Galatasaray, but the Turkish side does not want to buy him outright.

Juventus could therefore add the Brazilian midfielder into the package deal with €5m to take Tevez from Manchester City.

This would solve two problems in one fell swoop for the Turin giants, who are otherwise struggling to place Melo.

I just don't see Juve meeting Tevez's wage demands especially if a team like Monaco or PSG is in the mix.

Not so long ago rumors said we have agreement for Tevez longer cotract like 4-5 years with 5-6 mil and plus here he knows he'll be first team and compete in Europe. But who knows

But if he can get 10 million for 3 or 4 years at Monaco, he has made more money than if he came to Juve. I like Tevez, but I question whether playing and winning in UCL are his top priorities. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone to Man City in the first place.

I think he went there more just to get back at SAF for not signing him

Either way, it's a great bid by Juve if it works. If we can get anyone to take Melo and get a great player, that would be an amazing move by Marotta.
