Juve dismiss Tevez talk,Giovinco is good enough to play for Juve.

uventus director general Beppe Marotta has responded to transfer links with Carlos Tevez and Sebastian Giovinco.

The Argentine is being associated with a January move given his problems at Manchester City, while there is talk that Giovinco – co-owned with Parma – could return to Turin next summer.

“It’s normal to talk about players when it comes to Juventus, but we haven’t started negotiations for Tevez,” the official noted.

“We have a squad that presently meets our needs, then with each passing Sunday we’ll evaluate things.

“We didn’t discover Tevez, it is clear that he is a great player and we are a great club so the link is normal, but to go from that to say that we are in talks for him…”

Turning to Giovinco, who has accused Juve of not believing in him, Marotta suggested that the Turin giants were keeping their options open.

“We made a provisional choice with Giovinco,” he noted.

“He’s co-owned and it is right that he follows his own path to become the important player which we and he believe he can become.

“We have an excellent relationship with Parma, but it will be down to Giovinco to turn his potential into reality.

“He plays for the Italian national team, so he is evidently good enough for Juventus.”
