The longevity
The Man
Greatest Manager of all time
I'm sad that he's going, but even happier that we had him at all.
Good luck to him and his future endeavors. No one has ever had a hunger for winning for that long as much as he has had.

Re: Thank you Sir Alex
27 years, one man, one team, infinite success. I can't remember having a worse day than today. Literally tearing up. This is the one man who is responsible with Manchester United turning to an addiction for me. What will it be after this? I fear that this will have many more implications than we think and, I'm not talking exclusively about Manchester United. The EPL and world football will never be the same. Thank you! Even though we never met and definitely never will, you touched my life in more ways than most people I know.

This was unexpected. I thought he'd be as eternal as Zanetti.

SAF
I'm shocked as hell..
You are the BEST, old man. Nobody will come close in your throne as the EPL's king. Thank you SAF

Re: Thank you Sir Alex
Kicked out of CL in his last season by Real Madrid.....that red card to Nani.....what an irony. And this was only the first season of Robin Van Persie.
Happy Birthday bro!!! Legend, honestly Im really going to miss him no manager has ever been able to do what he has done, a genius in the way he rebuilds his team again and again. Im a bit surprised that he retired now, this Man utd team is young and a new project I thought he would retire after it reaches its peak.

Re: Thank you Sir Alex
I'll pay my homage to the great man here. The disrespect he is getting at GS in disgusting. I won't list his achievements everyone know what he did and football has lost one of it's greatest individuals. Have a good rest Fergie, football (bloody hell) will miss you.
He has been at Old Trafford before I was even born ffs. Can't imagine seeing Man Utd without the red nosed old man chewing gum at the touchline and roaring at the officials.

The honour was all hours, Sir Alex. He is the greatest thing to ever have happened to Manchester United.
It still hasn't sunk in yet. I got the news at work, couldn't concentrate at all afterwards. Was shocked as hell.

It's still abit unbelieveable for me tbh
I can imagine it being scary now, I mean SAF has been managing Man U longer than I've been alive ffs, too much change for a single season

Re: Thank you Sir Alex
Like M99, I find the disrespect he's getting in the General Section appalling. So I as well will pay homage here.
He's been coaching United before I was born lol, and it will be a bit weird not seeing him on the bench next season. Football will miss him, one of the greatest managers ever. He managed to build and rebuild his teams as the years go by, as well as winning many trophies along the way.
Good luck with Moyes.

Re: Thank you Sir Alex
I still cannot believe SAF won't be around next year.
Legendary manager that I have always had nothing but respect for. I would be lying if I said I want envious of him. The BPL won't be the same.
Good Luck Sir Alex. You deserve a break. Enjoy it!

Manchester United during Fergie's Premier League era, 21 seasons since 1992:
13 PL titles
5 times first runner-up
3 times second runner-up
Lowest league table finish: third place
