Oh right thats true. I just figured it was 1/2 way through the year and it wouldn't be clear just yet. Do they mainly base it off the year finished and not how well they do at the beginning of the next season?

Well I guess they will mainly look at the continuity through the rest of the 2/2 of the season. If that doesn't radically change then there will be no surprises.

I don't think really theres any question about who's getting it, but maybe it will change on the 2nd and 3rds.

Last year Iniesta was injured for 5 months or something, and still got in to it over Sneijder. Guess we'll have to wait to see what happens.

The winner is undisputed, really. The other two spots are a toss up, Ronaldo(won copa del rey, scored ludicrous number of goals), Vidic(Captained his side to CL Final and league title), Iniesta(major part in Barca's double), Xavi(major part in Barca's double), Thiago Silva(break through season, had one yellow card and helped Milan win the league) are all candidates

Cuz CL Final was pure Class & 5-0 ( Big matches etc, this trio were from another planet), it might have some influence on the voters..

But do think Overall Iniesta had better season than Xavi!

Although, C.Ronaldo deserves to be 2nd or 3rd.. he made alot of great records this season ( Goals etc)!!

Neuer, Ozil & Alves should be in top 10 also imo!
