Re: Mourinho has failed!
not only his title collection is nothing to be admired by Madrid standards but look the collateral he leaves in his wake. players with broken mentality, iconic figures ridiculed, people who have struggled and provided for the club removed and fans divided. if this is the cost of "success" then it's all yours. for me the worst thing he did was to make me support a club I dislike for the shake of sanity. thank u "special one"

Was it just my stream, but I didnt actually see him get the red card? He is such a cry baby sometimes, I am glad he was booted off.

He must have said something really offensive for the ref to send him off in a final. No leniency shown by the ref.

Thought he was the savior If mourinho can't do it no one can. Madrid's problems are deeper than management.

Re: Mourinho has failed!
There are some Madrid fans .. Some of you , didn't even see a CL semifinal before Mourinho , except maybe Youtube Only a few of you have witnessed the pre or mid 90's mid early 00s era , about them i stand back and say " ok , those saw success , i can understand why they complain about" .
The rest of you , be serious and ask yourselves , honestly : If Mou didn't , who the fk will The man won CLs with Porto and Inter , the first had never won it and the later will probably do another half century to win it again do you realise that ? If you really believe he actualy 'failed' , be prepared for some good years of waiting for dat success . Or better , ask yourselves again.
Whom exactly would have done better than Mourinho in those 3 years at Real? Name that coach please

Of those that stayed at the Bernabeu for 3+ complete seasons, Mou is the coach with the least titles in the history of Real Madrid (@2010MisterChip)

Re: Mourinho has failed!
Sorry if this sounds like a knee-jerk reaction but this is from his first press conference as the Madrid coach:
You be the judge.
Mourinho wrote:“If we don't win the league or the Champions League (this season), it would be a failure”

terrible, terrible argument. very disappointing to see people writing stuff like this.Dante wrote:

Coaching is not about having the best resume, it's about goodness of fit. Mourinho is a terrible fit for madrid and he failed.
@danyjr, mou did say in press conference that he failed this season, not the other.
you cant judge a manager on individual seasons tho, as he is trying to save his arse. His sporting project over 3 seasons is awful. he prided himself in building a 10 years madrid team and after 3 seasons the flaws of the team are so obvious that you want a do over

Re: Mourinho has failed!
I don't like Mourinho yet this match wasn't exactly a tactical failure. Madrid missed many chances laced with poor finishing to sum it up.
With a lost dressing room and countless more along with little incentive to work for a club who he has no love for, Atletico overcame Madrid purely due to their desire & commitment throughout the 90 mins.
This shouldn't count as a blip on Mou's career at all. Players more at fault.

actualy , that will do . When he says it himself , who are we to disagree
Although the argument still stands , those of you Madrid fans who never saw a CL semi final before Mourinho , please don't complain .

you do realise that i am going by their logic right? Mourinho did change the face of Real , compared to what it was. He did make Real overcome their major issues , first in the CL , 2nd against Barcelona. Plus he won a cup which i think Real won last time with Raul , or was it even before Raul ? Won you a record league , the league Real won last time in 07-08.Frankly , he got the hardest job in football since when he took over. Not only because of the club and the expectations , but because the Barcelona who had to deal with is a Barcelona side whose regarded by many as one of the best in history.
If a resume isn't everything , then you should agree with me that he didn't quite fail at Real. If anything , you had the best team and success under him since Del Bosque. And yes , those of you haven't seen a semifinal should stop preaching about Mourinho , as if they know better.

Re: Mourinho has failed!
Dante, great post. But let me finish by saying there will never be a coach born from a womb that will satisfy Madrid fans.
Re: Mourinho has failed!
Oh and Nick , please explain to me why he wasn't a good fit. I remember every single Madrid fan when he was announced that "we got the best manager in the world". When you won the league last season and came this close from the CL final , he was a genious too , built a great team .
What now.
What now.

No doubt. I am not saying he's perfect or anything . Of course he done mistakes. But all my life , the most common factor i've noticed between Madrid fans , is that they tend to forget quickly but never their past success.
My point here , remember where you ve been at before Mourinho . Remember the past or you will relive it again. And it's a fact that Mourinho did improve Real and improvement can't be anything but success. Though perhaps not the classic success you might expect from Real , or past Real Madrid sides , it is , given the circumstances he took over.
It irritates me a little bit that many neglect so many reasons and lable him a failure , just because he didn't win you a CL (yet) , because that's all there is behind it. Had he won the CL this season , let's assume he did for the sake of argument , he will be a Madrid legend , instead of whatever most call him in Madrid nowadays.
