Do you think we will pay so much? I will be blown out if dortmund decides to pay so much. They got 35mi euros for götze and they already got some 1 or 2 for santana, lewa will get them another 20. They have the money to spend btw excluding champions league earnings.

Well it seems like Anzhi have already outbid Dortmund's 19m offer and offered something like 30m. And Mkh doesn't want to go to Rassia and ruin his career. Now so far we already are planning on paying 20m+ for Mkh. It's very complicated. Although it seems like Mkh wants Liverpool above the rest but Shakhtar are being c*nts

Honestly, I'd rather we turned our attention to Eriksen at this point. Let the other big spenders fight it out for Mkhitaryan (if that's even happening, and not just paper talk) and use the diversion to get a run in on another CAM who I personally think fits our needs and squad better. If Eriksen is a potential back-up target I'd like us to begin moving on that front sooner rather than later so that he doesn't go elsewhere or sign a new Ajax deal. It's looking like the Papadopoulos/Alderweireld dilemma all over again (again assuming that's actually progressing as the reports suggest).


Also, and I may be alone on this, if Mkhitaryan really has gone AWOL from Shakhtar in an attempt to force a move then I'm not sure how much I want him... the Mascherano saga comes to mind. A player who's willing to skip out on training camps he's obligated to be at and potentially travel to a country to force a move to Liverpool could just as likely do the same to move FROM Liverpool. As annoying as Suarez's comments have been he'll still (most likely) be back at the club on time and give his all in every match should he stay for another season... can we say the same about Mkhitaryan if the reports are accurate about his behavior toward Shakhtar right now? This is, of course, all based on the reports in the media so it's liable to be a bunch of bunk and nonsense.

but i really understood the importance of rapping up the deals asap. This is what happens when they get dragged due to some out of hand issues.

welcome Mkh, glad we've persisted and it appears as we've won the race !!

btw, have people forgotten how dragged out Suarez' deal was. Comolli was apparently in Amsterdam every day since new years, and every day we were getting different reports. 2 days before finalization there was a report that we are gonna diss the deal and go for Negredo instead. we all saw how that turned out.

A week or 2 of patience now = years of having a better quality player than the easy alternative.

It'll be exciting if we do sign Henri Ryan, but that'll be so many attacking players signed & in the squad.

Also, shouldn't we sign a defender? After Papa there's been very little anything on that front.
