Very disappointed in him after this CL tie. He gave up a penalty in the first game in paris, and yesterday he was all kind of nervous and as a leader, gave no confidence to his defense which ended up leaking a goal.

What does it mean for players which are touted the best of the best when they dont show up in these kind of moments?

If you had never seen him play yourself, and followed GL closely, you would expect him to be flawless 99% of the time.

Penalty was wrongly called considering he did get a touch while Oscar touting all his weight to fall over him was typical Oscar. He could have been positioned for the Schürrle goal yet his weakness is from corners (Matri's famous goal vs Milan-Juventus) and Alex and Maxwell were at fault for the Ba goal. It's very difficult to cope with pressure situations when a 3rd CB (Marquinhos) who was deployed in such bad timing while both of them are unfamiliar playing in a 3 man. He made his bones playing partnerships with Nesta and another CB. If one is to blame for the defence, Silva must be exempt. You forget of all the things he did do well as scrutinising pedantic mistakes misrepresents the situation.
