I get why people hate on Messi....when someone is so good whats left to do...you can only appreciate them so long before you become jealous.

On a serious note, a fantastic performance of defending, leadership and ability on the ball.

Of all the things he did today, it was on the ball where he really showed how good he can be. He was taking liberties at times, doing drag backs and making Cesc look a shambles. Not even a hint of panic.

Yeah....hes pretty good.

I feel man of the match was Dani Alves though.

His presence is just unreal. He was everywhere. On the left to cover for Maxwell, on the right to rescue Jallet's ass, dribbling forward. Playing for PSG is a waste for such a talent.

Thiago Silva playing with those scrubs in the quarter finals of CL is nearly as ridiculous as us getting results last season with Coloccini next to Simpson, Williamson and Ryan f*cking Taylor.

Chielini is the 2nd best CB in the world IMO,behind Thiago Silva.Thiago Silva is injury prone though.

I would say second to Barzagli who I consider to be there with Thiago Silva and see him as more stable than him

I don't buy into the over pumped hype of Silva on this forum. Chiellini is heads and shoulders above him.

Ive said for months that TS is not the best abd i used to get bashed for it. Now people are finally giving Giorgio the credit he deserves. Hes the best in the world in my opinion, closely followed by Barzagli.

Wow people talk about TS being over hyped and then say chiellini is the Best CB in the world complete and utter crap considering chielini isn't even the best defender on his team and Barzagli and Bonnuci are both above him.

Silva to me was never the bests defender in the world...He was overhyped because he played beside the legendary Nesta...for example
The 2-2 draw at Nou Camp where Nesta completely owned Messi & Silva got the late equalizer, everyone started getting crazy about Silva because he scored & that Milan didn't lose when infact Nesta was the one doing the dirty work...

OT: Too be honest the situation would have been different if Sakho was playing as he is the only other defender aside from Silva who can hold a candle to him as like Nesta did to Silva, you can see the same relationship being formed between Sakho and Silva. Sadly Carlo benches Sakho for some odd reason.
