I don't think this will happen in the end.

Dortmund won't sell him and Götze unless it's crazy money... and I don't think Barcelona are ready to pay that much for a centre back.

By the way "Bild" is a mixed source, they try to be first at everything... they get something right but also get many transfer related news wrong.

just messin. I hope they learned. I think that Hummels would be much more expensive than 25m. It all depends on what BvB wants to get out of it.

Barcelona could send a player their way and reduce the fee. THey could just want money.

You're trippin' if you think Dortmund will reach the prestige, attractiveness and financial power of clubs like Barcelona anytime soon just because they've managed to reach the knockout stages of the CL again for the first time after 15 years. And Xavi's or Puyol's decline won't change anything of that. lol

Hummels is learning Spanish for a while now by the way and has openly admitted that he'd like to play in Spain one day. This would be the easiest transfer of all time if Barca really wants him.

Well I think its hard to draw conclusions from how he plays for Dortmund to how we would play for Barca.

All we can really do is guess based on how we play, who he would be playing with and what he does well and no so well.

If we talk about just defending, the biggest concern is Pique is better at reading and reacting behind than he is following a striker across different areas and out wide. The way I think it works for us is one defender tries to be tight to the striker (Mascherano or Puyol) while the other (Pique) reacts to anything behind or tries to be the last man playing the offside trap. Of course, not everytime that can happen, if the striker goes and stands right next to Pique the role is reserved. But the point I am telling to get to is for us, I think we need the first kind...just that Mascherano is poor and Puyol is a part timer now..Hummels to me is not this kind of defender, or to be more accurate, I can think of at least 3 or 4 other defenders who I feel are more this kind.

Well Hummels did sing a long term contract if I remember correctly and Dortmund won't be forced to sell because I think Watzke is tired of losing his best players.
