Arsenal And Köln agreed on a transfer fee of 13 M Euros and he will sign a 4 year contract.

With the European Championships in the summer, and Podolski's usually excellent performances and goals for his country in mind, it's great work to get this signing done prior the tournament's start - if of course it is a true story.

I have always been a fan of Podolski, delighted with this signing. Hope this is just the start of the huge re-building work this summer. I say huge, mainly in terms of 'OUTS'.

Almunia, Squillaci, Bendtner, Denilson, Arshavin, Park and Chamakh seem certain to go, whilst Fabianski, Mannone & Vela could go too.

Joel Campbell and Lansbury's futures have to be sorted.

In terms of strikers for next season, I guess RVP (please sign that contract!) Podolski + 1 would be a great. Who is that 1? Joel if he gets a w/permit.

Lukas Podolski is 26-years old & he has 95 caps for Germany (31 goals). This season he has 16 goals in 19 league starts for Koln.
