Because that was my common opinion, but that was based on the idea they'd persist with Lahm in midfield, no width and 4 CBs.

An average striker who had absolutely no service today. He didn't help himself at all by his inability to put himself about and actually try to fight for the ball, throwing the German defenders off their game might've created something out of nothing for him, but he didn't appear to be that type of player, which what would've helped Brazil a lot more than the flair they missed from Neymar.

Honestly can't see why Brazilians are pissed at him. He won them the opening game. As for the rest of the tournament Brazil don't have a single assister. Oscar, Neymar and Hulk all would rather dribble past an openent than look up to see if someone is in a better scoring position. If you can't get a poacher the ball then maybe you shouldn't play with a poacher.

He's an extremely average player that was placed under immense pressure by the fans and Felipao. Was never going to make it, the Confed Cup made fools of a lot of people. Probably the worst starting forward Brazil ever have had in a world cup.
