Re: USA vs Mexico
Hernandez and Gio got cramps or some shit in the Honduras game, but they should be good to go. Maza(our captain) and our starting lb are out. Salcido will prob start at LB and Herrera will hopefully replace Salcido in the midfield(pls no Torrado).
Should be a tough game, but we'll pull through.
da gawd is coming

1 win, and that was the last time we played there, I believe.

Re: USA vs Mexico
I hope US win this one!
I'd like to run it in to my Mexican friends (who tend to overrate their NT team when they beat teams like Guadelupe or Jamaica)

Re: USA vs Mexico
Must be said, that one win came in a friendly (taking nothing away from that, mind you) so we've still yet to beat them at this venue in a competitive match. They always bring their A-game for these types of fixtures and considering where we are, SnowClasico nonwithstanding, they will be rather confident that the status quo will continue.
I'm hoping we got the same stuff in our locker that propelled us to win in that snow. If we can win in a blizzard covered pitch a mile up from the ground, we can do it at roughly the same elevation on a much better pitch in far better conditions. Then again, it must be said that it's not Mexico's quality on the pitch that we should be worried about. It's that Azteca crowd and atmosphere that have beaten us so many times.

Re: USA vs Mexico
Yeah, Jermaine is already on a plane back to Germany. In reality, after what I saw on Friday, I'm okay with Jermaine not being in the starting XI because in a match like this I just see him getting a red card at some unfortunate time.
I don't see anyone really scoring in this game in the actual run of play, each team will score on the counter, and the team that will win will be the one that limits their mistakes the best. If this game had come a year ago I don't see how we could hope to achieve anything but a draw in this game, but Mexico isn't really in the best of form right now. Which is also why this game is so important to them...
Neither team is going into this game with the best record for holding a lead going into the final minutes of a meaningful game.
I said it in the previous thread, but I think common sense tells me this game will end in a draw. However, the fan in me says that the United States will manage to pull out 3 points. I deeply believe in karma, and the U20's got screwed in the CONCACAF final due to typical anti-American refereeing in favor of Mexico. I know we will have to deal with the altitude/pollution, environment, and poor refereeing but I think we will make history on Tuesday.
If we lose, we were supposed to lose, if we get a point it's a moral victory, but if we get 3 points all aboard the crazy train...

Meh, I wouldn't touch the back personally. However, I understand why you would put Beckerman in there because you wouldn't have to worry about him getting forward allowing Bradley to pick apart the Mexican defense.
If we are to score in the run of play it will come from Bradley attempting his best Pirlo impression.

Re: USA vs Mexico
Mexican food is over rated.
American love that shit. Ala Taco Bell, chipotle, Uncle Julio's, etc
All are "Americanized" Mexican food that most Mexicans don't even like.
Besides there's a couple of Latin american countries with way better food anyway.

lolno, all of those AMERICAN chains you named weren't even food invented in Mexico.. its a bunch of Tex-Mex.. faux-Mexican cuisine.
Tacos al Pastore, Barbacoa, Tacos de Mariscos, Lengua de Vaca, yummmmm, but Opinions on Food is strictly bias in regards to the Americas.. ofcourse a Colombian won't like Mexican food, because hurrr durrrr they're not accustomed to it. btw I never even heard of Colombian food..

Re: USA vs Mexico
anyways on the game.. anything less than a Mexican beatdown in El Azteca will be surprising to me.. USA have no shot at winning.. Shea isn't in form so there's that, and USA inexperienced backline and poor display over their first two qualifiers give me the sensation that, they'll be playing for the draw at best.
Snow Bowl wasn't encouraging.. A. It was on Snow, B. USA didn't show A LOT of improvement on snow compared to their dreadful outing in San Pedro Sula, where Mexico for 70 minutes out played Honduras with the little opportunities they had. C. Mexico need this win much more then the US, just because they're at home.
As a neutral I'm hoping for a draw or something crazy, but as a realist.. 3-1 Mexico run out winners... again and restore order in The Hex standings as "Giants" of this region.

Nothing's done, and the link between Ochoa and LFC is little more than random speculation at this point.
