Any of these countries could single handedly host it. Hell, Texas could single handedly host it. Wonder why they needed to put in a 3 country bid.

Also would be a bit unfair if all 3 countries get a guaranteed slot.

If this ends up being a 48 team World Cup, and USA, Canada and Mexico all qualify automatically as hosts, we could conceivably see the majority of CONCACAF taking part.

But yeah, interesting to see what happens qualification-wise. I imagine Canada will only contribute one, maybe two stadiums to this, so would that warrant automatic qualification?

Not sure if i'm too excited for this. USA gets the lot, Mexico and Canada are just there to be cute. Preferably World Cup should be played in a country with football heritage.

Most probably only TO will host games in Canada... our stadium is in ruins.... Vancouver did not subscribe...

So i'm booking a room in Luca's palace for june 2026 :coffee:

A bit of a weird arrangement, but I guess organizing the World Cup has become such an expensive and huge event that that explains. Still, I think a Mexico WC or a Canada WC or a USA WC would feel a more exciting concept. Having all three feels diluted. Still a million times better than Qatar, though.
