Atalanta boss Stefano Colantuono has admitted that he may have to do without Giacomo Bonaventura next season.

The midfielder has been a key player for the Bergamo outfit this term and he’s expected to be of significant transfer interest in the summer.

“Bonaventura is ready for a big club,” the tactician commented of the 23-year-old who has six goals in 27 games.

Bonaventura has been linked with the likes of Juventus, while Colantuono’s future has also been placed into doubt given his likely success in keeping the club in the top flight again.

“I’m tied to these colours until June 2016,” he insisted. “And I’m very happy to be contracted until then. As I have always said, this club is my natural habitat.”
