Fred is an average striker. I'd be surprised if he made waves, but like Hanson.said, he Wont start over.damiao or pato.

This game is winnable for Italy. Wanna see neymar up against barza. I'm also.excited.to see Brazil's midfield play together.

Its a much more promising Fernando of Gremio, whose shined the past season and a half as a fulltime starter at volante. People compare him to his ex-teammate and legend, Gilberto Silva.

People spewing hyperbole on the Brazil-Italia record. Yes we haven't beaten them for 31 years yet how many matches have there really been?

Italy have only played 14 matches v Brazil in history: 5 wins, 2 draws, 7 losses. 19 goals scored, 24 against

And Fred isn't Brazil's best CF, Damiao is. He may be off form or just not ready but Damiao is a world class CF when in form and is a goalscoring machine. When releases his temporary off-form saga, he will be sought after by most of the elite clubs.

Today's friendly? Expect Brazil to possibly thrash us since our attitude and preparation in friendlies is pathetic. Doesn't help when Prandelli treats friendlies purely as a sandbox experimentation ground

and Fred isn't the best player but he's the best Brazil have right now, people act like they have a selection of world class strikers to choose from. He's done a decent job for the NT, on par or better than what damiao or brazils other strikers wudve done. scolari knows what hes doing

I don't know why people are underestimating Italy. They should have cohesiveness and chemistry playing with their excellent Juve players. This is also Scolari's second friendly in charge so I expect a lot of experimenting.

he is a decent striker, but there are loads of better brazilian striker than him......

Quite the ideal Brazil team IMO. Put Pato or Lucas instead of Fred, Fernandinho instead of Fernando, Dante and Marcelo + Diego Alves.

I don't know anything about Fred but I find the suggestion that if he were that good he would be playing in Italy laughable. Some people are late bloomers, and the fact is that European teams rarely sign South Americans who are over 22-23. So that leaves plenty of space for talented SAs to remain behind.

Good to see Fernando back witth brazil NT, as Hernanes. attack looks good although brazil problem is their ability to play as a unit when they attack which they never do. easy stuff for italy from where i am sitting.

Where is Criscito and anybody but Maggio at RB ffs absolute scrub.

Also, I like Osvaldo but Matri's been better than him lately and it's not like Matri is 35 and couldn't be called up.
