I still think Neymar is miles ahead of ES on international level. I just hope the guy in my avatar starts, finally deserves a call up. Also Cerci's inclusion is a bit interesting

Re: Brazil vs Italy
Looked it up. They are pretty close. In the World Cup they are 2 wins for each and one draw. And one was on penalty kicks, for Brazil. So, in the World Cup Italy has defeated Brazil on the field twice and Brazil needed penalty kicks for one of their two victories.

At the end of the day it's going to come down to Grit, Bravery and lifting techniques.

Re: Brazil vs Italy
Brazil is without their holding players Paulinho and Ramires meaning they will have to try something new in that role. Hopefully Luiz Gustavo stakes a claim at the role

There isn't much point in mentioning years in International Football.
If you beat a team 1-0 and don't play them for 50 years it's less impressive/important than beating them twice within 2 weeks. However when you mention the '50 years' part it certainly sounds better than it actually is.
It reminds me of when city played some greek scrub team in the Europe League. The commentators kept mentioning how they've not lost at home in decades, however when you look at the statistics it's because they're only in Europe every few years and win a home QF match then get knocked out
Italy have been poor against Brazil recently but Italy also suck at friendlies compared to how they perform in important games.

Re: Brazil vs Italy
I know I've said Italy have a poor record of late Vs Brazil. But when you mention 'years' in International games it makes it look alot more one sided than it actually is.
The same applies for 'undefeated' records that are so big because the team in question doesn't qualify for the competition and nobody can break the clubs 'streak'

Me too. It's good to see Felipao experimenting with the 3-5-2. And I completely agree with you about L. Gustavo. I've never seen anything great from him. He's a good player but not national team material.

Re: Brazil vs Italy
Today:
Júlio César; Daniel Alves, David Luiz, Dante e Filipe Luis; Fernando, Hernanes e Oscar; Hulk, Neymar e Fred
Thiago Silva was in pain and began in reserve, but over training, joined the main lineup. Scolari confirmed that this team will face Italy tomorrow, the only question is whether Thiago Silva plays or not. Kaká is out, but enter during the game and will perhaps holder against Russia.
Scolari also dismissed the 3-5-2. He said the team will play only with 3 CBs if one play with primeiro volante (David Luiz).
